Didn't eat in the restaurant but it seemed very popular and prices appeared reasonabe.
A couple of negatives - some external noise from a generator outside through the night and audible sounds from other rooms as well as doors shutting, and the access to the car park from both entrances had large potholes but these didn't outweigh the positives.

There are only six guest rooms, located on the floor above the event spaces and the restaurant/bar. As soon as we arrived on our floor, we noticed that the hallway carpet was coming loose in several places.
Inside the room, we found hair from a previous guest on the floor, as well as rust and pink mold on the showerhead, which made us question the quality of the cleaning. The complimentary toiletries provided in the bathroom were also small travel-size bottles that had clearly been previously used by other guests, rather than new, sealed products.
The wallpaper was peeling in several places, and we could actually hear it coming loose whenever we moved around in the bed. Our room was located at the back of the building, near the waste container, and we could hear staff emptying garbage into it, including what sounded like bags filled with glass bottles, which was not very pleasant.
Finally, the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. As a result, we had a very short and far from restful night’s sleep.

You can suffer from the heat even in Scotland
Spacious room, comfortable beds, but since there is no air conditioning, if it is a sunny day (as happened to us), the room becomes too hot.
Excellent restaurant food at honest prices
Excellent location
