Lovely tea, horrid scones

Ambience is superb, we've been several times usually for afternoon tea. This is usually very good but oh dear, today the scones were horrid. Rock hard on the outside soft in the middle. Although we managed most as we were hungry, they were not a patch on my fabulous homemade scones.
Lovely sitting outside afterwards with a beer, most relaxing.

Stanbrook Abbey recommended

We have stayed at Stanbrook Abbey several times and happy to return. This nunnery, now an hotel, retains its environmental atmosphere, while walking along long corridors to explore side-rooms and the Chapel is a positive experience. The staff are helpful and friendly and meals in the Refrectory or bar are always good with comfortable and clean bedrooms To conclude beautifully maintained grounds.

A beautiful retreat in the heart of Worcestershire

A lovely base in beautiful Worcestershire. The hotel is wonderful, with a real tranquility about it. Staff excellent from the bar to the restaurant to reception. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Luxury Experience at a great price!

To say we were blown away by our experience at this hotel would be an understatement. I had booked a ‘Feature Room’ on checking in we were shown to our room in the Manor House on the other side of the hotel. The room was beautiful, complete with a dressing area and a huge bathroom with shower and roll top bath. It definitely exceeded our expectations.
The hotel has so many lovely features including the abbey itself.
Everywhere in the hotel was very clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
We decided to have breakfast at the hotel, very good selection of both hot and cold options, served in a stunning dining room. This hotel certainly makes its guests feel very special.
Located only a few miles from Worcester but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet in the countryside. With plenty of free parking, this hotel is a winner.
