Hotel is in a very good location in the centre of Reading. It has good gym, fun and free games in the lobby and nice cocktails. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice, however the only reason I've given this 4 stars is due to the room smelling of stale smoke. Other than that we would definitely return and would recommend to others.

We enjoyed our stay and found that when we were in the hotel there was plenty to do. There was table tennis and pool and bars.

Friendly and welcoming hotel in the centre of Reading
We stayed in the Pentahotel Reading to break up our journey from Cambridgeshire to Goodwood Festival of Speed. It was my husband's 60th birthday weekend so I paid and arranged with the hotel to place a bottle of wine in the room on our arrival for a surprise for him. Not only did they leave the wine, they had also left crisps, a box of maltesers and 4 drink tokens to spend at the bar so they went above and beyond. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, particularly Codey who I spoke to on the phone. It was in a good location in the centre of Reading, although I wouldn't rate Reading itself as a town. The bar area and the lounges are very spacious, with darts and table tennis and big screen TVs. We didn't eat at the hotel so couldn't comment on the food but I would definitely recommend the hotel. For parking, we used the Q-Park, Chatham place. The hotel gives a code for 40% discount for pre-booking, which is a big save.

A below average and disappointing stay. Bed sheets not put on beds properly meaning mattress exposed. Toilet absolutely filthy dirty - no excuse. Felt like a hotel that was probably quite nice 10 years ago but has lost its way. Wouldn't return.

Amazing
The staff at the Hotel are just fabulous, they are so friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much. It has such a fun vibe. You could spend the whole day there with all the activities and entertainment. It is unique.
It offers such value for money and the breakfast is incrediable, loads of Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten free options. Isobel is brilliant efficient, entertaing and kind and works so hard. Sumit is a famtastic chef, constantly replenshing, and the food is perfectly cooked and hot. Shall be spreading the word about this hotel. The rooms were super clean and extremly functional. Equipped with everything you need. Thank you Team you are all excellant
