The room was exceptionally clean and towels renewed every day if required. Tea, coffee and biscuits replaced every day. Decaf tea and coffee on request. Our room was comfy but could do with a coat rack and more hangers for the rather strange idea of a wardrobe, you'll see😁 Fantastic view from 108! Parking is free with a voucher from reception at check-in. Staff are very accommodating. The chef is excellent!

Great Hotel in a Wonderful Location.

Our family group of 10 adults and 5 children ( aged 9 - 2) had a wonderful time staying here. We can highly recommend this hotel without hesitation, to anyone staying in the area, which is hidden gem of Cumbria.
The 1 and 2 bedroom Villa rooms were excellent all having small balconies or terraces. Each had sitting area, smart TV, tea/coffee making and biscuits etc. The ensuites were modern and clean with complimentary toiletries.
All the staff, from reception, bar, restaurant and breakfast room were friendly, efficient and couldn't be more accommodating.
Dinner and breakfast for our group of 15 on Friday were very good, both in terms of quality and service.
The bar, especially the beer garden were again excellent and we enjoyed them greatly.
We cannot speak highly enough of our stay, please accept and pass on our sincere thanks to all.
We hope to visit again next year and would recommend without hesitation to anyone.
Many thanks and kindest
Regards
Richard & Debbie Shaw & family.

Pleasantly surprised

Came for a quiet getaway on our anniversary weekend. Pleasantly surprised by the room, we were in a corner at the back of the building so had a beautiful view of the sea and an insight into how busy the ice cream queue for the cafe next door looked!
Relatively decent sleep, mattress could be better, but it’s no different than you’d get in a premier inn, so it’s not awful.
Room pretty cosy, decent space to sleep, sit, chill. Ample sized bathroom with very good shower.
Food the first night wasn’t our fave but we sensed it may have been short staffed for a Friday night, the next night was much better. Breakfast was nice also, good selection of cereals and toasts, and made to order cooked foods - gluten/dairy free options available on request to avoid cross contamination which is a nice touch.
Some lovely walks leading from the beach, the beach itself is lovely just to sit by and take in. The town itself is about a 10 minute walk away, though there isnt a lot there, if you’re looking for proper civilisation head into Whitehaven.
The only negative we experienced was entitled attitudes of a few other guests, in the way the spoke to the staff and about others despite being in a room full of people (I’ve no objection to free speech, though I do like common decency while I eat my dinner) .
That aside, it was a lovely stay. Can also speak highly of the cafe next door.

The room was larger than I expected and the facilities in the room were excellent. The bathroom is large and airy with a double shower. The towels were changed every day and the room cleaned thoroughly every day. Unfortunately the mattress was not great, too soft and lumpy. The breakfast is excellent but the sausages need to be browned off more. The staff are excellent. Parking is available free and a voucher obtained from reception. All in all a great stay 4/5* We wouldn't hesitate to book again.
