Really good with reservations.

Really nice room with adequate self catering facilities, in an ideal location.
Only reservation was I'm sure somebody had been in our room while we were out, we left the light on when we went out, it was off when we came back, no time switches or anything, I would know, I'm an electrician. Also when we went out our shower screen was perfectly clean, when we came back it was obviously splashed with water.
We were in room 1, the only person who saw us going out was in room 2.

Request a room on the middle floor if your tall

Me and my partner booked a 2 night break in Skipton as we love this town. We opted for the Mill bridge due to it's location. We received our room details via email a couple of minutes before check in. Upon arrival it was easy access using the codes provided, we found we had been allocated a room on the top floor so after taking our luggage and shopping up, slightly breathless!!! We had room 5 a super deluxe room. Unfortunately it didn't suit us at the room has a low ceiling with an even lower large beam running between the bed and bathroom, I was fine at 5ft7 but my partner is 6ft5 so he needed to duck each time he went to the toilet!!! The shower is above the bath and also had the same low beam.
The room was clean, had a TV, fridge and ironing board. The bed is very low and has wooden slats, again this didn't really suit us due to the length of the bed. We didn't find it comfortable.
Our 1st night was extremely quiet we occasionally heard other residents opening doors but nothing else.
Due to our lack of sleep we decided to book him a separate room. At 3pm he was allocated room 3 - what a difference this room although the same size on the middle floor seemed much more light and airy with no low beams and a much bigger window although no fan available in that room
On the Tuesday night the church nearby has bell ringing practice from 19.30 to 21.00. this is quite noisy!!!
No breakfast or staff on the premises but so many options nearby. Paid parking available at coach street car park a couple of minutes walk away.

Handy for town centre

After reading reviews we expected this small hotel to be a bit on the noisy side but far from it . You heard people coming and going but nothing more than that , it was really quiet at night ,( apart from the nearby church bells ) Our room was unconventional, it had a cooker , fridge and sink in it. The room itself was comfortable but not equipped for more than a couple of nights . The bathroom was on the small side but perfectly fine, All in all a great hotel for a short stay, close to all amenities. There are no food options but plenty of cafes and restaurants near by , There is no parking but long stay car parks are close by and the Staion is an easy 15 minute walk away .
Would we use the hotel again ? Yes definitely.
