Super stay in another great Premmie

Just stayed overnight before getting to the cruise terminal next day. Chose this hotel as it had ample parking and sensibly priced rooms for a short stay in Southampton. We got uber taxis to go in and out of town 10 minutes ride to our booked restaurant in the centre. Breakfast in the adjacent Beefeater was good quality, cereals, juices, toast, cooked breakfast very nice. Our Premier plus rooms ( worth paying a little extra if you can) were clean, airconned and quiet at the rear of the main building. Coffee and water provided and nice smelling toiletries available in the spacious bathroom. 20/25 min drive to cruise terminal. Fabulous start to our trip, thanks

Honest review 24-07-2026

Super location for the cruise terminal. They offer parking for cruise at £50 per week. Parking is charged at £6 per night. The rooms are not air-conditioning not good in a heat wave as the fans are not suitable.
Does get busy in bar. And No EV charging stations. Closest one was approx 7 mins away that did 75kw

Wouldn’t recommend in summer!

Whilst I’m sure it’s fine most of the time definitely wouldn’t recommend in the summer. The room was unbearably hot, no air con and windows open an inch. A fan was provided which didn’t do a lot and we actually felt unwell with the extreme heat. Wouldn’t recommend in summer!!!

OK for a 1 night stay over

Rooms are clean enough although there is no air con. When we visited it was a very hot day, there was a decent fan in the room although this just blew warm air back at us. There is no lift in this particular Premier Inn either so if you are staying over for a cruise bear in mind you may have to drag your suitcases upstairs if you are given a room on the second floor. Luckily we were given a room on the ground floor so that was not an issue.

Do NOT book here! We have stayed at many Premier Inns and this was so bad that we cancelled future bookings.
It is summer and we have stayed in other hotels with no air con but this one was terrible. The room was at least 10 degrees hotter than outside - the window was open only an inch and staff refused to open it fully to let any air in. We were seriously concerned for our health that we had to sleep with 2 wet towels wrapped around us. The room was a sauna. Even all our chocolate melted within an hour.
