Another wonderful stay

Another wonderful stay The people are all wonderful and so incredibly invested in making everyone feel comfortable, welcome and happy. Our stay was to visit my mum who was in a hospital after suffering a stroke as we live in Lancashire and we were made so very welcome , comfortable and at ease, especially with a wonderful lady who was so kind and understanding of the situation ( huge thank you and my sincerest apologies for not asking your name ) The breakfast was amazing and perfect for our day ahead. We will be back very soon and again THANK YOU everyone ♥️ Steve & Annie Davis

The plate was too small for the Sunday lunch

Visited end of July for Sunday lunch as this place was recommended to us, the food was great and the price very reasonable the plate however was too small for the lunch I had to take off my yorkshire pudding and leave it on a little plate until I had eaten some meat & mash before I could put any other veg on or my yorkshire pudding back. I would have mentioned this on way out but wasn't asked how my meal was all 3 staff were talking amongst themselves and just held out the card machine.

Hidden Gem!

A very easy 5 star review! Staff couldn’t do enough for us, everything about the room was super comfortable, and the breakfast which was delivered to our room on the morning we were leaving was as good if not better than I’ve ever had anywhere! It was 20 minutes away from home but felt like we were hours away! We’ll be back!

Excellent value, wonderful host and perfect for Durham visits

Delightful bar / restaurant / hotel conveniently located less than 10 miles from Durham, with amazing views over the local countryside.
We stayed in a newly refurbished, very clean and comfortable room.
But the highlight was the hospitality from amazing host Esther for whom nothing is too much trouble.

Birthday night away

We went two couples as a birthday celebration it was lovely but there was a wedding on the next day so not sure if that effected the bar area as we were sitting in a tiny two sofa part with enough room for around 10 people . The food was nice and the staff lovely . One of the bedrooms was absolutely boiling but did have a fan .
