We had a fabulous two-night stay at this hotel and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive throughout our stay, with nothing ever being too much trouble.
We enjoyed a few drinks in the beautifully maintained courtyard, where the service was excellent, and we also ate in the restaurant one evening. We had breakfast on both mornings, and every meal was delicious.
A particular mention must go to our waiter, who went out of his way to accommodate my dietary requirements. I can’t tolerate chilli, and when I asked if the sauce accompanying my salmon could be changed, he spoke to the chef, who kindly prepared a fresh sauce from scratch without chilli. It was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch.
Our bedroom was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with everything we could have needed. We also had a wonderful view overlooking the square and the two beautiful churches.
Overall, a fantastic stay with excellent food, wonderful service and lovely staff. We would happily return and thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Super service

We went for ‘early doors’ drinks but there wasn’t a free table . Philip immediately found us a table in a different area, served us drinks super fast and generally made us feel like VIP clients! he was charming, attentive and even found us a better table to move to after half an hour. That kind of stellar service is hard to come by and it really made a huge difference to our evening. Thank you Philip! The Crown is lucky to have such a professional and client- focused colleague like you !

Fabulous celebration at the Crown- fantastic staff!

I booked the jewel room for my hubby’s surprise 50th Birthday celebration with family and friends! I just want to say that the staff at the Crown, in particular Kelly and Sophie went above and beyond for us on the evening- it went so smoothly! Thank you Crown Hotel! Would definitely recommend

Absolutely great but a very small room

Beautiful pub/hotel and fab location.
Rooms are lovely and clean and well decorated. Tea/coffee, tv, bottle of water all provided.
The only reason I’ve dropped a star is we found the room very small. With the recent heat waves there is a ceiling fan but fairly noisy and they provided an additional fan which was good but just found the room a little small.
