Trip to Torquay

Just returned from 4 nights at Melba House. Linda and Gary were fantastic hosts. We had room 4 which was large enough with plenty of storage, fluffy towels, nice toiletries and a fruit bowl. There was a fridge with water and milk and tea/coffee making facilities. There were plenty of choices for breakfast and Gary's fruit salad and cooked English breakfasts are awesome. It's the little things that make Melba House extra special sandwiches on arrival, cool drinks and lollies, sweets hanging on the door each evening and Gary even drove us back to the station when we were leaving.
It's about 5 minutes walk from the seafront and 25 minutes from the main restaurants. We went to Ephesus. Amici and Rockfish and all were great meals (booking required)

Thank you Linda and Gary for a wonderful time.

We have just spent a lovely long weekend at Melba House. We have never been made so welcome anywhere by the hosts Linda and Gary. The accommodation is immaculate and Gary's breakfasts are to die for. There is many restaurants within walking distance as well as the front and train station, if you want to explore a little bit further out. We shall definitely be booking again and we would Bestrecommend Melba House to anyone.

Great location. Comfy bed and good cleanliness. Lovely touches like cake left in your room and a treat each evening left in a pouch on the door
Sharon was lovely attentive host nothing was too much trouble and plentiful great breakfast.

Fantastic b/b in Torquay

We booked for 10 days and were not disappointed. Sharon and Mark are kindest,warmest hosts we have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was fantastic all freshly cooked and little treats left on the door was such a nice touch. The room was spotless and the towels/bedding smelt wonderful. We were in room 4 the bed was really comfy and shower great. Well worth a visit you will not be disappointed. Only short walk to railway station and buses. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Sharon and Mark for making our 50th wedding anniversary so special.

Book a holiday here. You will not be disappointed!!
We loved our stay. Mark and Sharon are very lovely people who made us feel very welcome and cared for.
The room (6) was beautifully decorated and had everything and more. Even the towels smelt fresh and comforting! Very comfy bed. TV. Nice refreshment tray. Very clean and sumptuous. Powerful shower.
The breakfast was amazing! We chose what we wanted the day before. We loved the rainbow fruit salad and the full English breakfast. Mark is an eggspert at eggs!!!! Plenty of choice and a lovely homely dining room where it was nice to chat to the other guests.
The location is literally a 10 minute walk to the sea. There is so much to do in Torquay and in the surrounding area. We asked Sharon and Mark for ideas where we could go and we weren't disappointed.
We loved Brixham, Dartmouth and Babbacombe Model Village.
We felt very spoilt throughout our stay at Melba House and will definitely return. Love Helen and Mark xxxx
