Lovely old fashioned manor house stay

Lovely hospitality in this old manor building. Rooms and decor from another era. Lovely breakfast with home made jams and cereals. Happy top take your bags in early while you go walking. Can walk into town easily or to the fabulous Base restaurant

Charming old house

Beautiful charming old house. We liked a twin room with twin beds, but that was not available. So we got two separate rooms in the attic for that one night. The doorways were low and you often had to bend down to go to the bathroom. But the house is very characterful with plenty of lavishly decorated nooks and crannies, with figurines and books. Everything was fine and the hostess was very friendly. The house is located in a suburb, has a large beautiful garden.

Fabulous guesthouse

Our first trip to the Lakes & we've just spent 2 nights here - a fabulous guesthouse in a quiet location with a friendly owner.
Great room with a comfy bed, jacuzzi bath & good shower.
Plenty of choice for breakfast & delicious.
Free parking - the driveway is very narrow from the road.
10 minute walk into Ulverston town centre & easy access up to Hoad Hill.
Would stay here again - thank you!

A delightful and beautiful place to stay.

An absolutely perfect gem of a place to stay in Ulverston, very welcoming and helpful, the room was superb and the whole place was full of charm and character, the breakfast was the best we had and nothing was a problem, we shall certainly be using here again, this place is 1000 times better than the shoeboxes they call modern hotels.

One night stay for Dave Day

I stayed here after riding up from Portsmouth for Dave Day '24 and found the peace and quiet with a lovely room and bed ideal after a long ride. The excellent breakfast got me a long way through the journey home too.
I've booked already for Dave Day '25 and am looking forward to my stay and an indian meal at Aroma in town.
