Well worth a visit

Great place to go for a drink in the lovely courtyard and excellent food too. Libby, Scott and the team are very friendly and efficient with a special mention for Michael and Fred.

Very disappointing

Lovely room, but the food and service were terrible. Firstly on arrival our other party ( my sister in law ) was given a room key only to find there was a gentleman already occupying that room ? Reception dod allocate her another room eventually but no apology. Secondly after a long days drive we decided to eat at the hotel and the food was disgusting. I asked to see a manager or a supervisor but no one came to see me. Then the breakfast was very disappointing and to top it off our car had been damaged in their car park. Avoid this place like the plague

Perfect place for a party

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The George which hosted a friend's hen do. Super setting - great room where we enjoyed dancing and singing without disturbing anyone else and fabulous food! Staff very friendly and attentive. Really recommend!

Hen party

We had a wonderful night at an ABBA themed hen party. The food was lovely and the staff helpful and friendly. The courtyard was a very pretty place to sit when cooling off from dancing! A great time had!!!

Great fun at a great hotel in a great location

We had a brilliant weekend at The George. The room, the bar, the bistro, the food and all the staff were fantastic. Shout out for Libby and Scott who looked after us so well. Wallingford is a really lovely market town and we can’t wait to return to The George for more exploring.
