Disgusting room
We had booked a twin room for three nights. The room was shabby with scuffed walls and loooked like blood splattered on the bathroom door. The carpet was torn and dirty. There was only one bedside table so only one lamp at the side and nowhere to put anything else at one side.The edge of the bath had mould on it. The furniture looked like it had come from a car boot sale so old and marked.We had breakfast and came back to our room to get ready to go out but kept " do not disturb sign on" but cleaner came marching in with sign in her hand and said do you want towels or tea and coffee. We told her to come back which she did later but just left towels on the bed and didnt clean the cups or replenish. Next morning at 7.45 we were awakened by strimming under the window. In the past although a few years ago we stayed at this hotel many time s and actually had our wedding there but appalled to see how down hill it has gone. I dont think all rooms are like this as the receptioist said we do have refurnished rooms but full. I asked are we paying the same and she said yes. I am sure they put us in that room hoping we wouldnt notice but stayed in many hortesl in many countries and thsi room was the worst. No real apologies just send an E Mail and we will pass it on. After seeing their reaction to our problems I dont think it would go anywhere but bin.
