Lovely little hideaway
Stayed here for the weekend,
What a beautiful place to stay,
Exceptionally clean
Very comfortable bed and clean
The little extras make all the difference
Extra loo roll. The washing up liquid. The oil for cooking lots of cooking essentials.
The extra wood for the hottub, and the hottub was already warm on arrival,
The coal/wood for the fire only ten quid,
The little games hut was also a lovely touch and you got to see the cows,

A perfect escape
We visited from 30th May - 3rd June 2025. Travelled up from Essex with our little dog. Upon arrival the first thing that struck me was how tidy the site was, hotly followed by how beautiful the cows on the farm are. We stayed in Pheasants Parlour. The little wigwams are compact but well equipped with en-suite shower room, mini kitchen, sofa, bed, TV and best of all a hot tub! The owner and staff were all so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
We did an 11.5mile hike along the river one day and 7.5miles in the opposite direction down the river the following day!
The wigwams are well spaced out around a central green which is extremely well kept. You don’t feel on top of your neighbours and the hot tubs have privacy screening around them with well stocked outdoor storage with all you need for the wood burners and fire pits that can be used for BBQ!
I thoroughly enjoyed our short staycation and I’d love to return.
This has to be the most peaceful, beautiful and calm space I’ve ever been in. Set on a farm which is nestled away in the countryside and a few miles drive to the nearest shop, it was beautiful to just hear the wildlife. It’s not so remote that restaurants won’t deliver takeaways! Although we didn’t do this, other wigwammers did.

Poor
I recently had the opportunity to stay at this glamping pod site, and unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The location, while remote, was not the issue; however, the misleading photos on the website contributed to my disappointment. Upon arrival, I found the cabin to be unkempt, with cobwebs present and an abundance of insects. Additionally, I discovered dirty cleaning supplies stored under the sink, which raised concerns about cleanliness. The quality of the sofa was subpar, and the television was inoperative. The hot tub was in clear view of others cabins with them being able to see us walk to and from, aswell as when inside, we only used it once due to this and for only 10 minutes as we were extremely uncomfortable. Given the overall experience, I found the price to be extortionate for what we received. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this accommodation for those seeking a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Brilliant Stay
It was a lovely stay all round. All instructions before we arrived were clear and the app that was sent to us was really helpful. Signage was good for the site and we were greeted nicely and shown where to go and park our car. Pod was absolutely lovely, well equipped and spotless. Outside area was great, fire pit was easy to use and hot tub amazing. We also had a game of pool which was good fun.

Lovely stay
Overall a lovely stay. I went with friends and our kids and dog. I was a bit wary of letting the dog off lead at first with the cows being so close (next field!) and the outdoor area of Anne’s Mews not being fully enclosed but I found he didn’t wander too far and the site is actually fenced in discreetly so he wouldn’t get far.
The lodge was great, exceptionally well stocked kitchen with everything you’d need, oven was also good (if you stay in caravans you’ll know they’re normally tiny) no microwave but didn’t need it. The only thing I’d say is that the dining table inside is too big, a foldable one would be better to allow a bit more living space while inside. We did spend the majority of time outdoors though. Shower was powerful and big enough to be comfortable. Pull out beds surprisingly comfortable too. Hot tub was lovely! Although the lid is cumbersome but that can’t be helped. The kids loved being able to run round and play with the dog, we played a game from the communal bit, the pool table only takes 50p which was a shame as we didn’t have any. We would stay again but I imagine if the weathers rubbish it would be a bit boring. Didn’t use the wifi as couldn’t find the info and the kids weren’t bothered anyway. All age 11 so big on using devices normally.
