Excellent stay...wonderful breakfast...friendly team
Stayed overnight pre cruise on way to Southampton...beautiful grounds and hotel..

We booked a package that included £32 towards evening meal...

This is our 2nd stay here in last year and highly recommended to break up your journey on route to Southampton for a cruise..

Great venue for get together - fantastic treatments and service
There are lots of positives to share about this hotel. Every member of staff we met were courteous, helpful, kind and keen to ensure our trip was the best it could be. We all had a treatment which were fantastic - I am not a treatment person usually but Sheree made sure that I was relaxed and not worried about anything and I really enjoyed it.
The rooms were fine - our room had a great shower and was comfy. Breakfast was a great choice and regularly replenished.
The restaurant for dinner was huge and busy but service again was great. The main courses were huge and delicious .. the starters were disappointing but the hotel listened to our feedback and made efforts to try and help. The other concerns were addressed eg the quality of the cocktails.
I would return it’s a great place to get people together.

Well worth the money as although hotel spa was small it was very quiet on the Friday, so facilities were available and not packed. Hotel staff were all very friendly and professional. A really lovely find and very easy to get into Winchester.

Overall a very good stay. Room spacious, bright and quite. Well equipped. All the staff very friendly and helpful. We were travelling with a dog and she was very we catered for and everyone made a fuss of her. Breakfast was buffet (which suited us) plentiful, varied and tasty. We had our own seating area outside the restaurant for the inclusion of the dog but were made to feel very comfortable. Spa, although nice was, I feel dated. It had sufficient facilities, and staff again were lovely, but it was more gym than zen. There were facilities for children only swims and aqua aerobics if you felt inclined. All clearly stated on a hand out sheet at book in. The hotel is sprawling but you soon get your bearings and soon learn the cut throughs. Bar was relaxing and again excellently staffed. Overall a most enjoyable, and welcoming stay. Cannot highlight a staff member as all were very very good. Plenty of grounds for dog walking. One idea - maybe a picnic area - weather was excellent and we sat on the grass near our room to eat lunch. It would be lively to have designated picnic area.

Impromptu spa day
The spa was lovely and welcoming, the spa staff were lovely but the restaurant was too far away and the choices on the menu for the spa experience meals wasn't good and the food was pretty bland, the staff at the restaurant were pretty rude and it took a lot of time away from the spa, we went back to the spa and enjoyed relaxing in the pool and spa, it was very quiet, followed by our treatments which were amazing, when we came out to get changed the spa was completely different, full of families and kids, not very relaxing at the end of the day, all in all a pretty good day
