Just stayed here for 2 nights, lovely old worldly accommodation, lovely room with the most comfortable bed. Alan and Jenny very welcoming and gave us some
tips for some places to visit, eat etc. Perfect location, just a few mins walk to the centre. Have stayed in Bowness several times and would visit again but would definitely try different areas, as sounds like we could be missing experiencing equally as nice towns around the other lakes. Thank you ☺️ Would recommend and good luck for your future ventures

Pubes!!!

On arrival i thought i would freshen up with a shower, how ever there was a huge nasty pube in the shower already ( i have left it there for u to perhaps clean properly today) being a housemaid in a budget hotel this is a huge no no to me, that along with nearly freezing to death through the night, i awoke to condensation on the inside of the window (never seen this since i was a child) an to top it of the toilet barely flushed, yes it was a basic priced room an had it not had the pube i wld have been happy with it

Terrible management

I telephoned the the hotel on Friday the 18th of July to explain the my husband was taken to hospital as his fistula blew(for people who do not know what that is it is because he is on dialysis).
I spoke to a gentleman and after explaining the situation he said we could postpone booking until doctors say he can travel.
I telephoned today 21st July and they have decided that they will not honour agreed arrangement.
The lady on the telephone was very arrogant, argumentative and refused to discuss anything

Lack of staff communication rude abusive

Booked this hotel as I was attending a wedding in the area it took many attempts to make contact with the hotel apparently they had issues with there phone line. After making contact with the hotel it was agreed that I could leave my car in the car park and attend the wedding then return to the hotel later that night. On arrival I parked my car in the car park popped into the hotel though and open door not finding any staff to let them know I had arrived so got picked up from the hotel and headed off to the wedding. I then received a very vile phone call from the white lodge asking myself to come remove my car from his fxxxxxg car park as I was not welcome there. I asked why he felt the need to be so abrasive and he stated I had fxxked him about. Maybe angry little man your faulty phone line is not my fault maybe if you communicated with your wife you would of found you was paid in full maybe if you had staff manning your hotel to greet guests these issues wouldn’t of happened. If you are a guest looking at choosing this hotel I’d think twice I ended up staying elsewhere was an expensive parking space for the night

Just ok

Ok but wouldn’t stay again
Got a phone call the morning of the day we were staying to be told the car park was out of action and to park else where. When we arrived after driving round couldn’t find parking anywhere. Even the car parks were full. So we just pulled in the driveway and hoped for the best. The room was ok but felt damp and cold. Not really welcoming at all. In the morning it was really cold no heating at all.
Could be a lovely place to stay but need the magic touch. The location was great. My daughter stayed down the road for £80 for the night and had a great stay next time we will book there
