Lots to NOT LIKE

Location very good, but that’s where it ends. Was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, felt like I was sleeping on a slab of concrete. Could really do with a mattress topper. The tv was not working as there was no internet to the room. No milk in the room, my hubby had black coffee, I had nothing. There was no bedside table at either side of the bed, so had to put meds phone, hubbys brew on the floor. The room could do with some curtains as the morning light came through the blinds at the crack of dawn. Won’t be coming here again that’s for sure.

Lovely rooms, stay ruined by rude/aggressive staff…

Good location, just a short walk into central Windsor.
The bedrooms are to the side of the pub, overlooking the beer garden. The rooms are lovely, well decorated, lovely linen, everything you need for a pleasant stay.
That’s the good bit!
Our stay was ruined by our encounters with different members of staff. Check in was challenging to say the least! After proving our request ( producing an email) for staying in one room for two nights, we eventually checked in . Wasn’t a great start to be challenged in that way.
The next encounter completely floored us. We’d decided to watch the football in the pub. Last orders were sounded so we all bought drinks. Next thing, we are being told ( very rudely) to leave. The tv was then switched off, lights turned off and cleaning spray was all around us. It was truly unbelievable! Even the locals couldn’t believe it! The bar manager behaved aggressively to everyone. We tried to engage with him and he had the nerve to tell us we were being rude. We advised him that we were guests at the pub. That didn’t make a difference, and to be honest after that confrontation we didn’t want to spend another second in that atmosphere.
To sum it up, lovely rooms, staff need intensive training in customer care./service. These encounters ruined our stay.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed our rooms and our location, but we’re naturally disappointed to read that other aspects of your stay fell short of your expectations.
We have reviewed the events you describe with our team. While we appreciate that you left feeling disappointed, we do not recognise the characterisation of our staff as rude or aggressive. Our team always aims to remain professional and courteous, even when managing busy service periods and closing procedures.
We are sorry that our check-in process felt frustrating. As with all guests, we occasionally need to verify booking details to ensure reservations are correct and secure, and we appreciate your understanding.
Regarding the pub, last orders and closing procedures are carried out in line with our licensing requirements. We regret that this left you with a negative impression, as it was certainly never our intention to make you feel unwelcome.
We value all feedback, positive and negative, and will continue working hard to provide the warm hospitality that the vast majority of our guests experience. We wish you all the best
