Exceeded expectations

This is one of the better Marriott hotels to stay in Amarillo. It's on the edge west of town. My room, 420, was super clean, bright, great temperature wise. The only downside is the rooms in front because you will hear all the interstate noise majority of the night. I felt most safe at this location. There's no shortage of restaurants or shopping nearby and Buc-ee's is just 10 miles east. The room was overly spacious. I didn't use the trundle bed and the king size bed is great size, just a bit too firm for me. The bathroom amenities were on point, minus there not being no body lotion (I guess this isn't a thing anymore). I left super early the next morning and was unable to make it to breakfast here. The lobby and bar were well lit and clean. For being several years old, I was impressed that this hotel has been upkept looking almost brand new. I ended up staying here again the next week when passing through.

I arrived at 10pm, was given keys to not 1, but 2 dirty rooms. The desk person had to go and finish cleaning the room I finally got. I made reservations weeks ago, and had no clean rooms when I arrived.

The hotel was okay. We specifically booked this hotel because of it having a bar but when we got there we were told the bar was closed. The pool was green, not able to swim. We also woke up the next morning to ants being all over the A/C unit and the hallway on the 3rd floor smelled of urine.

Liked Large Room and Evening Bar

The room and bed were comfortable. The workout area is very limited. The TV faces the bed and didn’t rotate to couch.

Who in the world and why would you design the bathroom with a barn door with a glass panel?Why? At night if you're using the bathroom, the l8ght being on floods the entire room waking up the others. If you anyways install such door at least use a better quality track so, again won't wake up others from the noise it makes
