I was pleasantly surprised, the room was nice, large bathroom and vanity, full size refrigerator/freezer. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Will stay there again.

Handicap accessible room. Floors were sticky. Door was so crooked that the bottom didn’t seal tight. Bed was also the end of its life. The GFCI was shutting off the basement groom lights but we figured out how to fix that. Quiet hotel mostly, except for the poor sealing door. Pets were welcome. We got what we paid for, overall.

FILTHY AND DISGUSTING AT RED ROOF INN (ATHENS ALABAMA). GROSSED OUT STILL.
FILTHY AND DISGUSTING. UNSAFE AREA. FLOORS STICKY, SHEETS/COMFORTER WITH STAINS, CARPET FILTHY. COUNTERS/TABLE TOPS FILTHY, TOILET WITH S''T MARK ON BACK OF SEAT. STRONG "URINE " SMELL. ROOM APPEARED CLEANED BUT REALLY NOT! SLEPT ON TOWELS FOR 5 HOURS AND LEFT. SO GROSSED OUT. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. YELLOW BROWN STAINS ON SHEETS. SANDALS MADE THAT STICKY SOUND WHILE WALKING ON FLOOR. I HAD TO SHOWER ASAP AFTER I LEFT THAT PLACE, DID'NT WANT TO SHOWER IN ROOM. SO GROSSED OUT! BOTTLE CAP ON FLOOR AND SMALL TRASH ON TILE. COMPLAINED AT CHECKOUT AND ASKED MANAGER TO CALL. NEVER RECEIVED CALL. JUST SO GROSS

Comfy and convenient to 65. Behind a Cracker Barrel, gas station, and plenty of food options. We were 2 adults and a small dog just looking for somewhere quiet and safe to break up a long road trip. It is a very simple and older room with a big bathroom and a good-sized fridge. Staff was friendly.

We were locked out of our room for 20mins after coming back from dinner while the front desk found the manual key to unlock the door. Which was quickly followed by my son laying in bed and having a huge cockroach crawl on him. We were moved rooms because it was late and we just wanted to get on the road early in the morning. Our new room had no shower towels, the tv did not work, and the shower was either freezing or broiling. The front desk staff said he left a message for the manager and we would be called the next morning about all of our issues. We never received a call. Because we booked through Expedia, he said we would have to go through them for the refund. Expedia has since tried to contact the property and hasn’t gotten a response so our issue is now closed. So nice to know that NO ONE is responsible for this situation. Both Expedia and Red Roof Inn are passing the buck to each other and no one cares.
