DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

DO NOT BOOK HERE. The pictures from their website are very misleading. The hotel is in horrible conditions and the front desk staff is very rude. It is in a very unsafe area. Beware!!!

Gross Hotel in Need of Serious TLC

Location is very convenient, but that’s where the list of positives ends. Do yourself a favor and DON’T stay here. My requirements are minimal when booking hotel accommodations. I want a convenient location with a clean place to rest my head at night. I don’t need bells and whistles and I don’t want luxury as I strive to stay budget-friendly. This place isn’t worth the more affordable price. The whole hotel is run down and just icky. The first room I checked into was horrible. Gross floors, dirty looking shower/tub, water stains on the ceiling, water damage on the walls, woodwork peeling off or missing, missing lamp shades, and no operable light switches. Some lamps didn’t work and you had to turn everything on manually, not with a wall switch. I called the front desk to ask for a different room.
They were able to accommodate me and showed me another room to make sure it would work. I agreed to it because it was late and it did appear in better condition, but still, none of the light switches worked, the carpet in the hallway leading into the room was beyond repair, and the bedroom door (of the suite) didn’t close because of misalignment. When I crawled into bed, I discovered a blood stain on the duvet. Needless to say, I requested they change ALL of the bedding from top to bottom and they did, but still…absolutely gross!
Stayed 3 nights for a conference in town and am thrilled we had meals provided by our event hosts so I could avoid eating at the hotel. If I come back to Baltimore, I will 100% NOT be staying at this hotel. They need a complete overhaul and work on their cleanliness standards.

I checked into my room later in the evening after traveling to visit my father at John’s Hopkins. When checking into my room I was upgraded to a king suite which I thought was very nice, then when I went up to my room the door was open. I was a female traveling alone so this concerned me, I turned around and went back to the front desk. They said housekeeping must have left it open but they were not concerned. One of the front desk clerks went in with me to check the room. It was empty, but it was warm. He turned the air down but it never cooled off. The frame on the bathroom mirror was hanging off, the shower curtain rod was tilted so the shower curtain would not stay closed. The bed was comfortable but I did not sleep well as I was still freaked out about the whole door thing. And the website advertised $30 parking and it was $60.

I arrived at the check-in time of 3pm and was told that my room was not yet cleaned, it would be another 10 minutes or so. No problem, I sat down to wait. 40 min later & after probably 30 other guests had checked in and gone to their rooms, I was taken to my room. The gentleman who took me to the room walked around and sprayed air freshener along all the baseboards (odd?). Then the room... there were 2 large windows that the installed curtains didn't cover, there was no toilet paper holder, no bathroom exhaust fan, I had to bend down to see into the bathroom mirror (which was the only mirror in the entire hotel room). Only one wastebasket. The entire place felt like a discount, budget motel that is on it's last legs. I would never stay there again.

I requested that my room be cleaned and was told that all rooms would be cleaned that day. I returned to my room to find the trash emptied and the bed made, but there was still dirt on the floor (was there when I checked in), the bathroom had not been cleaned (except for the trash).
The coffee maker was broken on the bottom. There was only 1 remote for 2 tv’s. The seat on the toilet was loose.
The fitness center was non-functioning with a hole in the ceiling and water leaking through.
No water in the room - had to purchase for $2.50 from vending machine, smokers (guests) crowding the front entrance.
Guests next door were loud, cursing and drinking. As I exited my room I was met with 2 overflowing trash cans. I told the front desk about the noise and he said “nothing we can do”.
The breakfast and the dining area. There were no bagels despite having cream cheese available. The food was mediocre (self serve waffles and yogurt were good). The coffee machine was broken, but they did have portable coffee canisters.
The staff replaced the food, but didn’t often wiped down the tables when guests were finished. I had to wipe my own table.
The light in the “living room” wasn’t working . Told the desk and he said the maintenance staff would look at it - didn’t happen. We discovered the issue ourselves and got it to work.
The curtains are dingy and dusty. Stepping into the hall was like riding in an old car with 3 day old smoke trapped in the seats.
