The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the location in downtown Bar Harbor couldn't be better. It is incredibly convenient being just a short walk from the Acadia Park shuttles. Our room was spotless, we really enjoyed the breakfast, and parking was always a breeze with spots readily available either under the hotel or right across the street. We had a wonderful stay...highly recommend!

Horrendous manager (Keena) and room experience. Avoid this hotel.

This was an absolutely horrendous experience - do not stay there. I booked a room on delta.com and it did not say that it was a terrible extra loud room. No one at the hotel warned me that the room did not have proper windows. The room that we stayed in was street front, first floor - I might as well be camping outside. The window is extraordinarily flimsy. I heard every person that walked by, every car that drove by every skateboard that went by at 2 o’clock in the mourning. I have videos and pictures of this horrible experience. I was up all night and couldn’t sleep. I then talk to the Front Desk in the morning to ask the manager to call me, that was 8am. I was told the manager would call me right back. The front desk person said they are aware there are a couple of rooms where it’s very loud. Keena is the manager. Keena did not call me back. So I called the Hotel back at 3 o’clock. I spoke to Keena . I explained my experience and how the experience of staying in this hostel room 101 was basically camping outside. Kenna said there was nothing she can do about it as I asked for a price adjustment because I paid a lot for this terrible runt of a room. She said she can’t do that and she said next time I come back, she would give me a better room. She said I should know better because it’s a street viewed room - What?! There is such a thing as good windows and sound insulation! Plus I was not given the option for another when I checked in because I had asked. I told her that this was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at, and that I would be leaving a poor but factual review about this experience. The room itself was very clean. The bathroom itself is kept very clean, but be warned. Do not stay at this hotel. They are not hospitality oriented. The management is utterly unhelpful. The room walls and windows are made of paper. Camping would’ve been nicer. I paid full price for this room and this is one of the most horrendous experiences in a hotel I have ever had and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels. Shame on you - do better.

We loved our room and the fact that it had a total of 4 windows, I love sunlight !! Very clean and everyone there was friendly . The complementary breakfast was top notch. Walking distance to sand bar and down town shopping!!! I will continue to come back here in the future.

It was a solid hotel that was pretty close to downtown (5min walk). Easy access to Acadia. Parking was good. Lot’s of restaurants close by. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We’d stay there again.

Fantastic!

Absolutely adored the hotel and restaurant! We travelled as a family of 3, with our 17 year old daughter and stayed in the family room. The layout was perfect for us and the included breakfast was delicious. The staff was great and we enjoyed the fresh baked cookies! 5 stars all around, including the location!
