Lovely, walkable B&B

Lovely inn within walking distance of Bar Harbor town, shops, shore path, and Bar Island path. Close enough to Acadia that you can return several times a day if you need to break it up or missed something due to crowds. The Holland Room had a huge King bed with a separate room with a twin which was perfect for my Mom and I to each have our own space on our 3 night stay. The room was very clean although the rug could be replaced or spot cleaned, it had some obvious stains. There was a choice of 2 Breakfast options each morning and yummy baked goods in the afternoon. Tea, coffee, and wine were offered. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Primrose Inn

Absolutely beautiful home. We stayed in room 8 which had the perfect blend of modern and classic aesthetic. The room had access to rockers on the most relaxing porch. We took advantage of the delicious coffee. Best coffee we had all weekend! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We absolutely adored Elle. She had amazing suggestions and we were so happy she was there to check us in and out. The food was absolutely delicious. The Primrose was minutes from gorgeous downtown Bar Harbor. Thank you for your warm welcome and hospitality.

Everything was great. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was eager to help and friendly. Food was fresh and excellent. We had a very nice stay. Highly recommend the Primrose.

The Prim Rose Inn is a true gem! It is perfectly situated, making it easy to stroll into the bustle of Bar Harbor, walk across to Bar Island or launch out for the day hiking. What makes it exceptional is the staff. Elle and Anna were so welcoming, provided invaluable info about great hikes, places to eat. Anna was there to greet me each night and we shared great conversations. Breakfast was delicious and arriving after 4pm to freshly baked treats was great! The kitchen staff were so accommodating. I wanted to get out by 7am to beat the heat and the crowds-no problem! Within 10 minutes I was given a breakfast box with an amazing breakfast sandwich, extra bacon, fresh fruit, and a muffin! The next morning I enjoyed a relaxed breakfast of lemon ricotta pancakes with a blueberry sauce. The inn is charming, the rooms comfortable, bathrooms spotless. I highly recommend staying at the Prim Rose!
