Clean room and Great staff. A little updating could be use in pool area. By still used pool and had a great time. Staff had great suggestions for dining

Unsanitary Room contributing to a disappointing stay

My husband and I were in town for a wedding on May 2 and chose this hotel due to the photos and reviews online. Unfortunately reality did not align with the photos. Every single door was scraped, the floor was filthy, as evidenced by the color of my white socks when I took them off. My husband is in the construction business and noted that the smoke alarm was very old. He looked it up online and found that it had last been manufactured in 2008. There was a large piece of sticky debris on the headboard and mold on the box spring. I would have been thoroughly disappointed and never visited the property again except for what happened next. When I first walked in the room there was black debris in the sink that looked like razor clippings. Assuming my husband had shaved, I rinsed out the sink. When we came back from the wedding there was more black debris, but this time there were also about 20 small flies. We cleaned them away and went to bed. I got up in the middle of the night and they were all over the bathroom. I looked them up in an app called Seek and learned that they are bathroom moth flies, or sewer flies. I made the gentlemen at the front desk aware but he offered no apology or explanation. I reached out to Hotels.com who compensated me with points for my unfortunate experience. I am writing to you because no one should stay in a hotel that has suck a level of poor sanitation.

We had the suite, 1 bedroom. It was clean and large. The bathrooms are updated and very nice. The door going to the patio is missing the rubber seal so the sun shines through, bugs can get in and the heat/cold can come inside. The sheet on the fold out couch, had holes in the sheet. Not sure why. Maybe the cleaning crew isn't checking the fold out couch?? All in all we slept great.

I love this place, but I ended up taking a cold shower. I wish he had told me that the hot water took so long to come out. The ice machine didn’t work, so he said he would bring me ice, but didn’t.

Overall, the rooms are quite clean and comfortable. The staff provides good service, and the parking is easily accessible. The setting is very pleasant and allows you to connect with nature.
