Modest and charming spot in Bishop CA
Quiet, off 395, backs onto city park. Property well cared for. Easy to do day hikes to South and Sabrina Lakes off 168 or farther afield Tom’s Place and Rock Creek. Travellers’ motel, hospitable and helpful manager couple on premise 24/7. Modest well cleaned rooms. Charming as modest. Great value for a comfortable nights stay

Don’t waste your $$
If I could give 5 negative stars, I would. Place was gross. Smelled like urine coming out of the AC window unit, which blows straight to the bed, with NO temp control, just low, med,high. Horrible smell and cold air, I ended up with a chest cold. I took my sandals off and was barefoot, and after walking around this postage stamp sized room, my feet were BLACK. No exaggeration. THE BEDDING -threadbare and tacky. There was actually a leopard print acrylic blanket, you know fleamarket style? The bed was old and had springs that made noise when turning over (boing)! The head was sloped down like it was broken down, and you get two child size pillows for sleeping. Bring your own everything. Seriously…these people should not be running a motel. The only nice thing was the end unit that backed to a nice grassy area BUT we were 1 of 3 guests at this motel, and they put us right next door to someone whose car was parked next to our front door.
The fridge worked and there’s a coffee maker with 1 decaf and 1 regular coffee packet and 1 packet of sugar per cup and I stir stick to share. Really??
Cheap AF. The room is expensive for what you get.
TV remote did not work properly to enter channels. Went to office and manager gave us a remote to make it work, but we had to return it. Seriously?
We asked for a couple more sugars in the morning and he was reluctant to give us extra.

Beware, it’s old and nasty
The room was so small that we had to take turns walking around the bed to the bathroom, and the bed was only a double, old with springs in the mattress. The tv remote didn’t work and the owner didn’t believe me, nor spoke English. The window was painted shut, walls so thin you could hear the neighbors.

Quiet motel in Bishop
Very quiet and clean, comfortable bed. Setup like an auto camp of the past with duplex buildings, old style tiled standup shower. Small Room had 2 windows, and convenient parking is beside room. Parklike area with lawn, trees, tables at the back of lot. Off the main drag so no traffic noise. I believe it was the least expensive in town.

Beautiful little motel
Clean, quit, and classical. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked great, shower was nice and our host was very pleasant. We used to outside tables outside for breakfast i the beautiful high desert morning. If back through Bishop again I will stay here.
