We're building a home on rural land have been for a couple of years and we still don't have ac over the last couple of years when we have heatwaves and a couple of times we were evacuated for brush fires we've stayed at the national 9 Peter and all the crew have been great I use a wheelchair and they always know to give me a ground floor unit look it's not the ritz but it's a well run budget hotel thanks we'll be back

The place is run down. Old phone cords visible in the room with no phone (not that I needed it), plastic wrapping on the AC cord that has obviously been still on there for years, dead bugs in the light fixtures….. the sheets were clean, the toilet flushed, the shower worked and it was affordable for one night (8 hours) as a halfway point for our drive.

This place is miserable, stay away. Dead roaches in room, smells awful, AC turns off every hour, busted locks, TV doesn’t work, etc. The whole town of buttonwillow is a little suspect.

My partner and I have stayed here quite a bit as we are building a property about 60 miles out and sometimes need an affordable place to stay out of the heat. This is a safe, welcoming and restful place to catch some zzzz's if you are traveling through. The beds are comfy and the pool is a quick respite from the heat. What really stands this place apart from the chains nearby is the kindness of the staff and how willing they are to be helpful.
