Rustic charm at its best - perfect gateway for all!

Nestled just steps away from ocean bluff, Ocean Point Ranch offers a perfect place to relax, enjoy trails with stunning ocean views and even meet a new friend by the fire pit. Rooms were charming, very comfortable and clean. Plenty of amenities for all ages to enjoy (warm pool, shuffle board, yard games, fire pit and more). Special shout-out to Bri for very warm welcome! Also, home to a great breakfast spot - the Cow Tipper (delicious Monte Cristo!).

Moonstone Beach stay in Cambria

We stayed at Oceanpoint Ranch 3 years ago zipping in for one night on our way to the Bay Area, and decided to "give it a go" this time around for a 3 nights' stay.
If you like nature and being close to the sea, the setting and location are superb.
The hotel staff is helpful.
The "resort" is dated; rooms are quite small and poorly designed with basically no storage, including no space for 2 suitcases. A claw foot bath tub is positioned in a hallway (where I balanced our second bag!) in front of sliding doors (torn screen) to an unappealing concrete slab patio where a lone, small, broken table was positioned. The staff replaced it when we complained, but could only offer 1 chair...
The bed is comfortable and there’s a small fireplace which may be helpful on cold nights.
If 2.5 stars were available that would have been my choice.
Cambria as a whole is a lovely area for walks by the sea, close access to Hearst Castle and the village of Cayucos.
Very good food is served at Robin’s and Lin’s, both in town.

Absolutely horrible experience

I would never stay there again my husband and I woke up to ants all over the room. The room stunk like sewer from the outside. My husband spent at least two hours cleaning all the ants. The general manager initially offered $50 off then gave us 75 he never apologized. He was rude. Obnoxious I would never stay in that hotel ever again

Great stopover located near to the ocean

A convenient stopover on our California road trip. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bit surprised that there was no restaurant on site (it only served breakfasts) but they recommended pizza delivery options (try to go smaller than you think as portions were HUGE!). Breakfasts were gorgeous.. a real treat.

Not worth the money

The rodeo suite (considered the bridal suite) has multiple issues. The bathroom sink is clogged. The shower door doesn’t close. The bathroom door isn’t secure. The workers for the hotel grounds were behind us BY THE WINDOW while we showered. Blood and tears on the sheets. The kitchen was filthy. Curtains in the kitchen and living area are torn and broken. No wine glasses provided in the suite and the staff wouldn’t provide any, yet the restaurant has them.
Mikey & Angel are extremely rude and dismissive - not only our experience, but other patrons that gathered & compared stories.
