All the best of the Midwest in one place

We spent three lovely nights in Covington Manor, a stately and beautifully kept B&B within a short walk downtown Cambridge. LeighAnn was a friendly and knowledgeable host who served delicious food and made sure we were comfortable.
The breakfasts were a mix of homemade and brought in from local establishments. LeighAnn also had goods on display from local artists and craftspeople. She directed us to lovely nearby parks, hikes, and restaurants, and left the light on for us when we came back late. Highly recommended!

First Time, I'll Be Back

Spent the weekend at Covington Manor. Leigh Ann Carmody was a welcoming, knowledgeable, terrific hostess and the property is beautiful with walkable gardens, apple trees loaded with fruit, a deep front porch with two seating areas, and spacious suites with amenity-filled spacious bathroom. Loved eating dinner at The Plow and walking in the gorgeous historic neighborhood. Thank you Leigh Ann, John and Tatum for a fabulous weekend at an incredibly comfortable and beautiful B&B!

A Perfect Weekend

I stayed at Covington Manor last weekend and wanted to say a few words about this very special place.
I had taken several all-day classes at the 2022 Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival in Jefferson, and needed somewhere to stay close by to avoid the hassle of commuting from home. My expectation was simply a place to sleep and shower while I went back and forth from the festival.
Covington Manor was so much more! From the minute Leighann greeted me at the front door, until the morning I headed home, not one detail was missed. She showed me around their beautiful property, let me know all her contact information so that I could get hold of her if I needed anything, and then took me to the second floor to my room ( The Howell).
All I can say is WOW. The time and hard work this couple put in to this house is incredible. The old-world charm, the comfortable bed, the impeccably clean bathroom, the views; just gorgeous.
There was another group staying there that was also attending the Sheep and Wool Show, and on our second morning we had an early class. Leighann realized that her regular morning meal time was too late for us, so she sent a message the night before to let us know she had rearranged her schedule to be in the kitchen earlier than normal so that we could have our delicious breakfast before we left. This was just one of the many wonderful experiences I had during my time at Covington Manor.
Thank You Leighann for a wonderful and relaxing couple of days. Because of your hospitality I had plenty of time to get back and forth to the show without feeling rushed, and therefore was able to get the most out of it. It meant a lot to me.

Exquisite and friendly

I stayed here for 3 days in September 2017 for a poetry conference, and was lucky to get upgraded to the Johnson Room. This had a very comfortable king bed and was decorated in a beautiful, calming shade of blue. The entire property is gorgeously decorated and furnished. Carol, the owner, provided gourmet breakfasts and wonderful conversation. She is a very accomplished and talented lady and I wish I lived closer! There are a couple of good restaurants and bars in town and it is a 20 minute drive to Ft Atkinson, where my conference was held. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Awesome Stay A Few Years Ago

My good friend and I visited Cambridge several years ago, don’t remember the specific date. Sometime between 2007 and 2010. My birthday weekend, and specifically to visit the Matt Kenseth Fan Club headquarters and meet Matt when he was home.
We had a wonderful stay at Covington Manor. The rooms were flawless, food delicious, and the kindest of Innkeepers! Hope to come back to Cambridge someday and would absolutely stay at Covington Manor. AAA+ all the way.
In addition, we found the residents and business owners of Cambridge to be charming and welcoming as well. Excellent trip.
