Unusual Stay

The Inn itself was very nice, our room was comfortable. The problem was that there was no one around who worked for the Inn. We were sent a code to get in the front door. There was no information about the Inn in our room. I had called the Inn several days in advance and asked about breakfast, was there a breakfast included? No one responded. My husband and I arrived about 7:45 pm and left by 7:15 am. We did not see another sole in the morning, had no idea if there was a breakfast. So we left and went out to breakfast. We did meet another guest of the Inn when we arrived. She hadn't seen anyone from the Inn either.
Our room was nice, with a gas fireplace, but the lack of information wasn't good.

it was an excellent value for the price, especially recommend for a one night stay

note that there are new owners, so all reviews prior to this do not apply to the new owners (complaints about service in past reviews). not sure I'd stay here longer than one night, as it was directly on main street in the center of town, and a little busy for me. great for one night. the place is clean, furnishings nice, and new owners were helpful. I did not stay long enough to make a judgement about the overall service,. the only concern I had was the fact that this place is directly on Main Street, which is a major truck and commuter route and the trucks started rolling at 4:30AM. Prior to that it was dead silent between the hours of 8pm-4am. Also the house is occupied by a few long term residents, so it did not have that cozy comfort touristy vacation feel to it. Overall, highly recommend for 1-2 night stay if you are here for touring and not hanging around the house.
