This was a very "hit and run" one-night visit -- we arrived late in the everning and had to leave again early the next morning. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the gentleman at the front desk (I believe his name was Michael) was super pleasant.
My one caveat -- I suppose it makes sense that a location this central can't offer free parking, but be aware that this will add 50 bucks per night to your stay.
We would definitely come back, though.

If a wheelchair accessible shower is important to you this hotel was good.
This hotel is centrally located so for that I would rate it highly. I had reserved a room with a wheelchair accessible shower. When I arrived I was told they did not have one available.I said that I had reserved one and they were then able to accommodate that. However, if amenities are important to you, this is not the place. They had wooden hangers without hooks AND there was no bar in the closet at all. I had to hang the hangers on door knobs. The shower was great but the lighting in the bathroom was barely adequate.

The air conditioning unit had a broken part which had fallen on the floor and they had to change the room. Then the sofa / bed was not made and we had to request them to come and make it. The staff came with the pillow and a sheet and was handing it over to me at the door he did not even want to come in and pull out the bed to make it. Had to request him to do so. On the last day the room was not cleaned and had to beg for towels for over an hour at 5 in the evening. Finally had to go down to the reception to get the towels and I was told they had not received their laundry. So there were no towels available. After a while they dropped off the towels but by then we had showered and dried out selves with hand towels. Terrible hotel, worse service. Total and absolute lack of will to work.

Great location but needs some work
I have family in the area, and for its convenience, I have stayed at this hotel several times as far back as three years ago. And every time I stay, one elevator isn't working. Other reviewers note this as well and management's response seems to be something like "sorry for the inconvenience and the unplanned maintenance" of the elevator. I guess there is unplanned maintenance every time I stay. At times, I had to wait 5-10 minutes for an elevator that was available or had enough room to accommodate us.
Having traveled directly from the Courtyard Marriott in Portland, ME, to this one during this trip, was a real eye opener. What a stark comparison and it only highlighted the areas that this hotel needs to improve. This property needs major upgrades: the rooms are dark, the hallways were warm and musty, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were small and worn.
Also, do not prepay for parking. Apparently the gate was not working either and it was up the entire time, thus, anyone could come and go. I am not sure if the garage is open to the public, but anyone was able to pull in and park without paying.
This hotel is in a great location and has so much potential but it doesn't seem like Marriott cares to invest in this property.
