Great place to stay in Delta area !!

My friend and I stayed at this motel for 4 nights, It is very comfortable, nice folks who own this motel, gave us some of their fresh fruit and were very friendly and accomodating. We will stay here again !!

Hotel owner yelled at us and was very unprofessional.

This hotel is horrible.
The owners are rude and very confrontational.
The man cam outside and told me and my daughter that we dont like to follow rules because we parked where here told us to park the night before.
He was aggressive and rude and when I told him verbally he was rude he freaked out worse.
I'd give this place 0 stars if I could.
They are unprofessional.
If you can stay somewhere else do it.
They also dont serve breakfast which for the price you pay to stay here I'd figure they would.
Overpriced
Rude
Lack of parking
Unprofessional
Don't recommend!

What on earth did I end up in? Gross and worn down.

I don’t understand why people are so positive about the Value Inn. Yes it’s one of the cheaper places to stay in the Delta/Montrose area. Yes the owner is a nice guy. But the property is totally worn out. The building is totally worn down on the outside, all doors, switches and seemingly the bed and carpets and chairs etc, same. Clean? No sir, my blanket had nasty stains. What motel uses blankets (that most often don’t get changed for new guests) anyway? Decent motels and hotels use duvets.
Stains in the carpets burning holes in the bedspread, dirt behind the nightstand (which I had to pull forward before I could connect my charger), an outlet on the other side of the bed was broken and exposed the inner parts. I’m sure that is a violation of some code, this is a very dangerous situation!
The microwave looked nasty, the bathroom fan didn’t work and just violently buzzed, the innerof the light/fan unit was simply gross, the cups for coffee or drinks not individually wrapped but simply placed on a tray that may have gods knows what germs, the airco outlet was broken so you can’t direct air in a suitable direction and the list goes on and on and on.
I was happy to leave the next morning. When around, you really need to spend extra cash to get a better room elsewhere. This place is beyond salvation.

Value indeed!

Value indeed. What a lovely, clean, motel. We stayed in a dump the night before and this was a refreshing change. The owners and kind, chatty, and helpful. They even gave us a pot of home made peach jam, and some fresh peaches from their tree. They obviously work very hard to keep the place clean and tidy, with welcoming pots of flowers outside, plus a lovely seating area at the side of the motel. Thank you for a great stay.

Overpriced, hot, and dirty

How this place has so many positive reviews is beyond me. My visit started off on a positive note when I was checking in and met the owner, who seemed likable enough. But it was all downhill from there. It was over 100 degrees outside the day I checked in, but the cheap owner apparently doesn't believe in turning on the air conditioning in rooms that he has reservations for before guests arrive. So when I opened the door to my room at 9 PM, I was greeted with the world's hottest motel room that smelled like potpourri spray. The rooms have these small window-type air conditioners that are totally unequipped to cool rooms that size. Additionally, the air output is so low to the ground it immediately hits the bed right in front of it, so air doesn't easily move throughout the room. The end result? It took about 4 hours for the room to cool down to 70 degrees. The ancient motel rooms are decorated like rooms were back in the 70s and 80s. There were bedspreads (they haven't gotten the memo dirty bedspreads are a thing of the past) on the beds that looked like they were from the 70s or 80s. The chairs (photo attached) were covered in so much filth and stains it was disgusting. The shower was your typical old shower, where only people under about 5'9" can fit under the showerhead --- if you're taller, be prepared to squat. The bath towels were the size of large hand towels; I've got a size 34 waist and couldn't even fit one around me. The bathroom area was actually rather clean, which surprised me. There's also an electric stove in the room for no apparent reason, along with a microwave and refrigerator that were so old they used to be white, but were turning that weird yellow color. The grand finale? Check out is at 10:30. At 10:20, the owner starts banging at the door. I shouted out I was leaving soon. At 10:34, as I'm literally about to grab the door handle, my cell phone starts ringing. It's Captain Crazy Pants trying to call me. I didn't even answer. Instead of prioritizing kicking guests out, try focusing on AC, cleaning, and updating rooms.
