Clean rooms
The owner who waited on us was a very nice and friendly lady, Our room was clean and large, the shower had good water pressure and had nice warm water. The outside of the motel needs some updating, but I believe the new owners are working on that.

ECONO LODGE FRANKLIN-SPRINGBORO, OHIO
I booked a reservation for 2 nights at the Econo Lodge Franklin - Springboro, for April 30th - May 2nd, through Hopper as well as my next nights reservation in the next town. Both were confirmed and confirmation numbers recieved.
I arrived at Econo Lodge around 6am May 1st, after driving since midnight. They did not have an on duty night clerk so unfortunately I woke up the gentleman who came to help me.
He couldn't find my reservation so I gave him my phone with all of my contact details and my confirmations. He still wasn't able to find anything relating to me. He said that if I wanted to stay I needed to pay for the stay and it would be refunded once he was able to confirm.
I asked for clarification as to when that refund would be available and he said that it would be sorted out before I checked out.
The room was fine and on the morning that I was checking out I again said - here is the double charge. I actually showed him my current banking statement online and it showed a charge for both Hopper reservations and then the second charge by them.
I confirmed again that that would be refunded . He said yes. I continued my check out left and finished my trip.
We are now 4 months down the track and I have not been refunded for that second charge even after many attempts at contact. In the beginning he was very amenable and said that yes he would look into it and he didn't understand why it wasn't done and was I sure it hadn't been refunded... and then he became less available.
There was a family issue he had to deal with and then he was away for a week and then he was on a cruise and wouldn't be back for 7 or 10 days and then subsequent calls went unanswered.
It is my belief (although I don't have proof) that he has answered the phone several times and when he discovered it was me, has said it was not him or he wasn't available and avoided my calls. I am very disappointed in this behavior.
My stay was fine. I left my room clean, trash bagged up and sat by the door, towels on in one pile on the edge of the tub, surfaces wiped down. I am a very tidy traveler. There is no reason not to refund me.
I sent him copies of the emails that I had received so he had all of my contact details as well as all of the third party company. I shouldn't have to be chasing this up 4 months later.

Excellent Hotel , i just stayed last night , hotel is not that fancy but i love the cleanliness of the room, room smelled great , Front desk was very kind and helpful, she welcomed me with a great smile.

Value, Comfort, and Convenience
Very friendly, accomodating staff - especially Lalu at the Front Desk - have stayed here a number of times. Know that they have been doing a lot of upgrades (High Speed Internet, Painting, etc..). This is a great location (close to I-75), close to restaurants and a Wal*Mart, great value for the money (Nice updated clean, comfortable rooms with wood floors/Nice beds/Desk/great AC), and very convenient - easy-in and easy-out - just seconds from your car door to your room, and quiet! Also has a nice "scoop" Ice Machine. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value for the price.

Stay here only if last resort
Arrived at 3am with a coupon for $45/night so we could grab 5hrs if sleep before continuing south to Kentucky. Front desk barely glanced at coupon and said it didn’t apply and that it was $75 for the night, was given room 142 on second floor around back. Walked in to a hot room smelling like smoke with stained bedding, walls, doors, dirty toilet paper and holes in the wall. Immediately walked back down to front desk and asked for money back which he did because he was surprised that the room was in such poor shape. Thank you for returning my money immediately but you need better housekeeping.
