Walls very thin.
Needed a restful sleep and couldn't get it because of the noise on second floor. Bathroom was a little dirty. Bed was clean. Air didn't work on high. Got to check out later, which was good. Front desk was very courteous.

Booked this motel based off some very positive reviews I saw on-line since the Hotel that I originally wanted was sold out. It was down hill from there. At check in I realize this is a Mom and Pop run motel. The sign at the desk says No Visitors so I guess that is a problem here. Checked into room to find that the upkeep of these rooms is apparently more the Owners can handle. The Floor lamp had a rusty base, the walls had stains on them, there were paint patches on the wall where they patched something and then painted over it with a different shade of paint. The light fixture over the sink had the cover off and it was laying up on the shelf. The Toilet seat was the old kind that is made of particle type board. It was rotting / swelling up and looked awful. Okay that's a $20 fix and takes 10 minutes at best. The Headboard for the bed was something bought at a yard sale of consignment store as it was taller than the picture they had on the wall. It had chunks taken out it. The bed mattresses were old, nearly sat on the ground, and needed replacing. They had a "Comforter" Cover on the bed and then 1 sheet. The Dead bolt would not lock on the door either. If I had my tool box with me I would have fixed it for them..... I hate to be so tough on a Mom and Pop shop but this thing is run down and only getting worse I am sure. There were a few other issues as well but you get the picture..... I should have stayed in Clemmons, NC which is only 10 minutes away.

it was okay...
I paid $60 for the room but it felt like a $40 room...sheets and towels were clean...but the deadbolt on the door would not close properly because of the weather stripping on the door...so, i scooted the little refrigerator with the microwave bolted to the top over in front of the door. the headboard looked like something that was picked up at a yard sale and was taller than the headboard it replaced...i could tell because they didn't raise the picture on the wall above the bed and it was partially covered by the headboard. the walls had been touched up with paint that didn't match. so don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. the man working the front desk was very nice.
