very beautiful property in Key Largo

A beautiful bungalow complex with its own small beach and pier. The bungalows are spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need. You can view the site plan of the houses on the website. We had bungalow 25 with a view of the water. Fantastic. The sunsets are gigantic. One evening we had a small shark on the beach. For breakfast, there is a complimentary, daily changing selection of scones (I would call them muffins) and tea or coffee variations. Parking is free.

Ask ahead…..

Please make sure you ask ahead if there’s going to be coconut tree maintenance the day you book…we unfortunately had this happen to us and it was noisy and dusty everywhere. Book 3 nights just incase 1 day gets screwed up. I wish there was someway they could have warned us because as a person with stage 4 cancer, peace & quiet was the #1 thing I wanted. We could not enjoy the property as I hoped.
The pool was dirty both days we were there, but we went in anyway, disappointing. They currently don’t have any paddle boards available which I was looking forward to but we did get to kayak for a couple hours. There were gluten free scones available but I did NOT appreciate nuts being put on the table we were sitting at for the squirrels. The squirrels (I’m worried about mange) tugged at me 4 different times so the next day we sat down by the docks to watch people feeding the iguanas (that can give you salmonella), ugh. There was trash in the water by one of the docks. It’s confusing they allowed fishing when one of their neighbors does not because of the manatees, dolphins, stingrays, pelicans that could get hurt from hooks & fishing lines plus it’s really shallow with people barefoot in the bay. The room was fine except the couch was lumpy uncomfortable in #1. We still had an okay time.

Mala

Extremely disappointing experience. Beautiful property, terrible experience with management.
We stayed here with family for my husband’s birthday, and unfortunately, all four of us left extremely disappointed. The property itself is beautiful, but the way guests are treated completely takes away from the experience.
The owner, who is also the person managing the property, was constantly bothering us and reprimanding us about one thing after another. I honestly felt uncomfortable and constantly watched during our stay. I also noticed how he repeatedly reprimanded guests who had children, which made me glad that I had not brought my own children.
We went there to celebrate a birthday. We understand that excessive noise can be an issue, but there were no clear instructions saying that music was not allowed at all. We were made to feel like we couldn’t enjoy ourselves even at a reasonable level.
On top of everything, I was charged a $225 fee for allegedly smoking inside the room, which was completely unfair because I do not smoke. Being charged for something I did not do was extremely upsetting.
The breakfast was also very disappointing. It is advertised as included, but basically you get a small pastry and terrible coffee. For the price of this place, I expected much more.
The villa is beautiful, but honestly, beauty alone is not enough. There are so many restrictions and the atmosphere is so uncomfortable that it feels more like a retreat where you have to follow a million rules than a place to relax and enjoy a vacation.
All four of us had the same feeling when we left: we would not come back, even if the stay were free.

Very cool spot with island vibes. Rooms are small but you’re not in them much. Definitely will stay again.

Truly memorable stay

What a great spot. A taste of old Florida. Room was clean and well maintained. Beach was well kept. Free use of kayaks. Free fresh scones every morning. Staff is amazing. Can’t say enough good about this place
