Excellent location for the entrance to Yosemite Park.

Excellent starting location for visiting the park passing through Tioga Pass, a purely tourist town with only motels and restaurants, 2/3 of which, by the way, close at 10 PM.
Clean and spacious room, ample parking, spectacular view of the lake from a beautiful wooden swing on the patio. The staff is kind and prepared for any of your questions.

It was very well kept and had everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner right across the road whether thats bacon and eggs or banana bread from the grocery store bakery.

Clean and well maintained motel in town. Easy to walk to restaurants . Easy stop before or after a Yosemite visit.

The room is very clean. Staff are very courteous. There’s ample parking and the view from the room is wonderful.

On a week-long trip through Southern California and Nevada, somehow this property was our most expensive stay. That's OK. They kind of have the market cornered, and it was necessary for us to reach eastern side of Yosemite. The property has clearly been transformed and updated from the old school motel days near the Tioga Pass. It's far from a modern hotel.
Despite that, the property was uniquely a mix of old and new. The bathrooms are very spacious and clearly have been upgraded. We stayed in a room with a window air conditioner that was designed to keep that room and a larger room cool through the night. However, if you shut the door to the small room, there goes the AC. In all honesty, that part of California does not see warm nights. We opened the door, and it was in the low 50's. Problem solved.
Note: You need to arrive in this town before 10:00PM, or the sidewalks will be rolled up.
I tend to like quirky places, and this one certainly fit the bill. It's a true mix of old and new with character and quirks. I would give it 3.5 stars, but that's not an option.
