When arriving, the hotel was getting a new roof. We were told due to flooding that the pool was closed but there was the alternative to use the gym across the road. We were told we were getting a newly remodeled room, but it had just been painted and smelled of cigarettes including the towels. You could hear the air dryers in other rooms drying them out.
At breakfast, there was no juice, no fresh fruit. it consisted of eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal muffins and bagels. Normally at this chain, there is a much larger selection.
The staff was amazing. The young lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful for places to eat. She froze our ice packs for us which was very much appreciated.

Room was ok. Staff was ok. Breakfast was limited and the juice machine was out of order. The pool and hot tub were out of order as well. Definitely in need of a complete renovation. Definitely won't be staying there again.

My room was fine. Water hot; AC responsive; bed and pillows comfortable. I was on the way to giving it a 4 or 5 until,,,,,,.
There was no toilet paper holder. Not sure there ever was one.
Pool and hot tub out if commission even though I never intended to use them.
Breakfast had eggs and sausage which is all I wanted. However that was about it. No juice or milk. No muffins etc.
a lot of apologies but I wonder what actions taken to fix issues.

The staff were very accommodating and professional. The juice machine was broken throughout our 8 day stay, but the rest of breakfast was good. Our room was never cleaned/refreshed but we did receive fresh towels and more toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. whenever we asked. We loved the location and used the hot tub daily. The roof was being replaced during our stay, but the construction hours were limited to daylight hours which was appreciated.

This is an older hotel.
The lobby couches were worn and well used
The room carpets had visible stains.
The bathroom was functional and clean.
Very little interaction with staff.
