THE place to stay in McCall
GABBY GABBY GABBY!! She is one of the best front desk receptionist I have ever met! She’s so sweet and helped us with all the questions we had asked about the inn and town! The Inn is adorable, comfortable and very clean! Would love to come back here again! This is THE place to stay in McCall!

Not 5 star hotel
Superficially it’s a very cute hotel however it was dirty. What really got me to get this place in the first place was the amenities and the pictures made it seem very clean. We got there exhausted hoping to come into a clean room however immediately we noticed the bedding had these weird black stains where maybe when they made the bed, they put something on it before they left and it accidentally stained the top. We let that go because mistakes happen, however, then we lifted the bedding blankets we found hair on the bed. So to our eyes it seemed like they never changed the bedding. We went to go ask for new bedding and they gave it to us. The girl that helped grabbed new bedding said she would change it but we were so tired we just didn’t want to deal with it so we told her we would do it instead. So we changed the bedding and that was that. I did want to use the amenities but then I freaked myself out that they don’t clean the jacuzzi, cold plunge, or sauna so to that I could have been wrong. THEN after I decided to shower and once again superficially clean but then I went into the shower and I noticed the bottom corners had that pink biofilm that i know doesn’t build up overnight. Honestly it’s cute but dirty. The price I paid should have been a lot less. This is listed as a 5 star hotel but it should be closer to a 2-3 star hotel. There are a lot of things that go unnoticed. They 10000% dont meet the expectations for a 5 star hotel.

Pretty setting, friendly front desk, clean rooms, convenient to downtown. Comfortable bed. Plentiful variety in the morning grab and go coffee area. Didn’t use the jacuzzi, didn’t look inviting. Like previous review said no closet to hang clothes or drawers to unpack. Owners did a great job rehabbing the property with keeping the existing structure. Rates tend to fluctuate, best to stay during week to get the bang for buck! Would stay again!

Loved the decor!
The room was really well decorated and comfortable. There are no closets or drawers, just hooks. There was no microwave but there was a refrigerator. I don't remember if there was a coffee maker. It was very well lighted and that is great for an older person. The one side of the shower door didn't close completely, but the other side did. There were no clocks, but we had our cell phones.
The staff was very friendly and there is coffee and snacks in the lobby. It was a little spendy, but it is a tourist area.

Recommend but with a warning
While our three previous visits to Scandia Inn were very good, I just want to warn people about booking the King Suite. Unlike the other guest rooms, this is an upstairs unit--no elevator, no banisters. Additionally, the tv is unwatchable from bed--it is wall mounted and despite the hinged mount, it cannot be positioned for comfortable viewing. Caution is advised when stepping into the deep tub/shower and the room lacks a closet or adequate hooks for towels.
That said, the King Suite, like our experiences in other rooms, was clean and well stocked. The Inn has great outdoor common spaces and the staff is friendly.
