Beach Park Hotel
It is at the start of South Beach on Ocean Blvd. Great value for your money because of location. Old hotel reminiscent of 1950's. Still has that old charm. Only a three or four story hotel. Rooms vary in size. Equipped with hair dryers, ironing boards, mini refrigerator. Towels and linens are clean and plentiful. Elevator is closed and you have to walk up each level carrying your own luggage. Lobby area has that bygone erra feel to it. Many beautiful pictures and paintings.
There are many good restaurants around. We dined at Meet Dalia only a few shops up from where we stayed and the food was fabulous as were the drinks. Waiters and service were excellent. They played beautiful flamenco music and were treated to a flamenco dancer too.
Check-in at the Beach Park Hotel was flawless. They are pet friendly too with small animals. Highly recommend this hotel for at least a two night stay.

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. We experienced several issues that made the stay frustrating and uncomfortable. Our toilet flooded when we tried to flush it, despite there being nothing unusual in it. There were also multiple toilet plungers left in the middle of the hallway, which made it seem like this was an ongoing issue affecting other rooms as well.
The air conditioning in our room also did not work well during the day, and there was no thermostat in the room for us to adjust the temperature ourselves. On top of that, the elevators were not working, so we had to carry four full-sized suitcases up three flights of stairs.
Lastly, the couch in our room was visibly dirty and had several suspicious-looking stains. Overall, there were simply too many maintenance and cleanliness issues for the stay to meet our expectations.

The place is very old from the furniture in the lobby to the room itself. Nothing has been remodeled. The elevator has been down for 2 years we had to carry our luggage upstairs. I will say that it was clean but smelled of mold. The furniture in the rooms and lobby are old, the lobby gives hunted house spider webs on lamps it gives creepy. If you looking for a cheap stay this is it, very motel 6.

Elevator was broken, ice machine was broken, vending machines are broken, wifi doesn’t work and TV doesn’t have a signal.Would not recommend.

I would give the hotel a 2/10. I’m really never picky but the only thing good about this hotel is the location which was great. Other than that, we had to take cold showers due to hot water not working properly. Toilet had stopped up and reported it to the front desk and was told there was no handyman on duty and directed us to walk to the end of the hall where there were plungers to plunge our own toilet. Could not control our own thermostat and froze during the night. We could have asked for blankets definitely but not being able to control temp was ridiculous especially after coming back from the beach.
