Best sheets anywhere!
If Tripadvisor had a category for "Hotels Most Likely to Make You Question Your Own Bedding Choices," this place would win.
We had a fantastic stay here while exploring Anderson Valley. From the moment we arrived, everything was refreshingly easy. Check-in took only a few minutes, check-out was just as painless, and the whole experience felt effortless—which is exactly what you want when you're on vacation.
The room was spotless. Not "hotel clean"... actually clean. The bathroom sparkled, the room smelled fresh, and everything felt well cared for. It's obvious the staff takes pride in the property.
Now let's talk about the sheets.
I don't know what kind of wizardry is happening here, but these may be the greatest hotel sheets known to mankind. At one point I seriously considered checking the corners for a label so I could buy a set for home. My wife caught me before I started calculating how many would fit in the suitcase.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, and those sheets somehow managed to be soft, cool, cozy, and luxurious all at the same time. If Anderson Valley Inn ever opens a side business selling bedding, I may become a customer.
The inn itself perfectly matches the pace of Anderson Valley—quiet, relaxing, and completely free from the hustle and bustle. After spending the day exploring wineries, redwoods, and the beautiful countryside, it was the perfect place to come back, kick off your shoes, and recharge.
Sometimes it's the little things that make a stay memorable. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Easy check-in. Friendly service. A peaceful night's sleep.
And apparently... ridiculously amazing sheets.
We'll absolutely stay here again the next time we're in Philo. Hopefully the sheets will still be there... because I'm not making any promises if they ever leave the housekeeping cart unattended.

The room was tidy and clean. The setting in the trees and greenery was quiet and calming.

The location is not the best due to the traffic noise and a rooster crowing early morning.
They gave us a warning about the water tank of the property being refilled and ended up wity dirty water (light brown color) in the shower and toilet. I didn’t feel ok with this and if I knew this was the case I would I have stayed somewhere else.
The positive side is that it’s across the street if sharfenbeger winery and the staff was very communicative throughout.
I was going to attached the sample of dirty water but I rather not and hope they do better next time(for other guest)

Awkward - more of a cheapo airbnb than a hotel. Bathroom not clean enough - base of toilet hairy and ... not clean. Ex garage type space turned into a room with a kitchenette ...with a stained sink. Mini fridge dirty. Bed the cheap ikea quality. Area rug FILTHY and really worn/due for replacement. Room on a road that is full of loud trucks well past midnight. Place overall seems like it is trying to be on trend but it is really hacky - basically a single family residence chopped up into "hotel" rooms.
