Nice hotel, but wouldn’t stay again

Hotel is very nice - clean, modern and well designed. The room was the same. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I had chosen this hotel in part for the pool, as we’re on a road trip and wanted the kids to burn off some energy. After booking, I read that the pool is actually closed. This is was a huge disappointment but we let it go.
The hotel is on a very busy road, which is not the most pleasant to walk next to, and the road noise in our room next to the road was horrible as we were trying to go to sleep.
Breakfast was probably a 6/10. There is a yogurt station, a made to order station that was serving crepes this morning, self serve bacon/sausage and frittata, cold cereal and toast, muffins/bagels.
We enjoy staying at element in other locations, but based on the actual location in Reno, pool closure, and road noise I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

This is a new property and the lobby area and parking garage are shiny and fresh. Our room, however, had a musty smell that they tried to cover up with a strong perfume or air freshener spray. I would say that this was the worst Element we have stayed at (compared to two others). It was fine but not amazing like the other ones.

The Element is a great hotel for Reno. Their breakfast was amazing! The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The bar was fabulous as well. The hotel does a lot of little things for the guests which was appreciated such as a happy hour, water and coffee available anytime.
The only draw back is the hotel is located on a busy street so it can be loud in the evening.
