Disappointing for a BnB: lack of contact with hosts, disappointing breakfast

When we booked this BnB, we expected to meet local people as in our previous experiences in such types of accommodation.
The room was clean and comfortable, and we were given tasty cookies, but unfortunately industrial ones, not home made.
We also had the impression the hosts had no interest in speaking with us, so we didn't insist. The breakfast was disappointing too: we were left alone in the kitchen, and only got bananas and apples, plus industrial cereal and milk. No other guests were there either, so what a disappointing experience. Usually, the breakfast in a BnB is really the best and most memorable part and you get to taste delicious home made food.
By the way, we were shown a bucket of raspberries from our host's garden in the evening, but didn't even get a small share of it at breakfast.
