We usually come here to be out during the day, pool is convenient for kids and being able to walk to the beach. Never had any issues

Wish it was as good as we remembered.

We chose Cavalier Oceanfront because we had stayed there about 20 years ago and remembered it as a beautiful property. The photos on the website also gave us the impression that it had maintained that same appeal. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
The grounds appeared poorly maintained, with brown landscaping and overgrown weeds throughout the property. Our room had a noticeable musty odor, which made it feel less clean and inviting. The biggest disappointment was the ocean-view room we paid extra for; our view was largely obstructed by a tree, making it difficult to enjoy the ocean scenery we expected.
Based on our previous stay and the current website photos, we had much higher expectations for the property.

This place is very dated. Old carpet, furniture.., grounds poorly maintained. Windows would not lock and the vent in the bathroom sounds like a freight train. The Room we stayed in had no AC. They said to open the window for fresh air. This is a motel. Opening the windows at night is an invitation to criminals. It was so stuffy we had no choice but took our chances with the windows open. The whole place needs major renovations inside and out. Not recommended!!!

Check-in was easy and quick with some great free chocolate chip cookies but room was a bit older then what it showed and toilet was plugged and leaking but staff quickly fixed while we unpacked luckily we didn’t need to use it but only noticed because water was on the floor next to bowl but other then that the beach fire placed & pits on the beach with a stack of wood was a nice touch
