The apartment is in a fantastic location next to the City Market, right next to tons of restaurants and cafes. The only downside of the location is that it is very loud at night, so you might want to bring ear plugs. The apartment is clean and well equipped with a small kitchenette that is good for making coffee and having a breakfast cereal or warming up a dish, not for any real cooking - which you shouldn't do anyway giving the amazing choice of restaurants in its vicinity. One hint: the door lock can be iffy to operate - the trick is to touch the touchscreen with 2 fingers simultaneously to activate the screen. We've enjoyed our stay and recommend it to other guests.

Check-in was remote and not super convenient when trying to do this from the sidewalk with your cellphone. There was a 50- fee for early check-in that was not expected. My electronic room lock was not functioning but a kind housekeeper was able to get me into my room. Overall I liked it -- but the check-in and phone support would make me think twice next time.

This was the most uncomfortable accommodations Ive ever stayed in. The beds were so uncomfortable I could barely sleep. The couch had almost no back, so watching TV was not relaxing at all. There was no place to sit and work, no place to put suitcases - it was a modern, minimalist mess that photographed really well for the listing. Front door lock is broken, so anyone can wander in; Drywall dust everywhere from recent repairs… Multiple calls to the management company went unanswered (I guess they stop answering at 5?) Parking cost us over $100 for a few days stay, because there isn’t any. You have to pay the city $2.50/hr during the day to park. In short - looks great, feels like a prison cell.

Worst place I've stayed in.
This place is terrible, I stayed here and the walls are basically falling apart (that's not design) and the walls are super thin so I can hear everything. I couldn't sleep because there were people yelling upstairs and outside and I shouldn't be able to hear when someone turns on the shower upstairs. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. The main light in the twin bedroom doesn't work. The mirror is dirty asl. There is a rope to hang a light and then it has spider webs all over it. You have to set up the TV, or just not use it at all.
The only okay place is the kitchen. Its like they forgot to clean.
Instead of spending the money on random useless pictures they should spend it on fixing this place.

Clean Apartment, Cold Shower
Windrose Apartment Hotel 4A was cute, airy and in a great location. The restaurant and pub below us was loud at night but we enjoyed the live music so it was no bother. The bed was comfy and the a/c was cold. We felt safe and the nearby public parking lot was convenient. The downstairs decor was lacking (it was dirty, worn and torn) and though the place was actually very clean, updating the furnishings would make it feel and appear cleaner. The building is historic and has some quirks - like no elevator and creaking sounds. There was a cute sign in our bathroom reminding us that the building was historic and that the hot water can take a bit to get warm. "A bit" is not exactly accurate. After our 3rd attempt at a hot shower, we contacted the "after hours" person on call about the issue. She was very polite and tried to help. She again stated that the building is historic and that it can take a while for hot water to travel from the lower level to the 4th floor where we were staying. We were instructed to turn on the shower and sink and let them run to help get hot water running. We did. It did not work. We were able to get maybe 3-5 minutes of luke-warm water at best. We ended up leaving a day early and checking into a local hotel. Overall, this place is cute, clean, in a great location and full of charm BUT, it is not for those who enjoy a hot shower after a long day of sightseeing.
