Don't judge a motel by its outside. The room itself was clean, properly set up, and more than adequate for our less-than-12-hours stay.

The cheery turquoise of this little vintage motel was what caught my eye. I loved learning the history of Motel 57- built on Hwy 57 as a residence for workers in the shipyards there in Sturgeon Bay during World War ll.
Our room was very clean, comfortable and we particularly appreciated the extra-nicely equipped kitchenette- so much more that the typical microwave and fridge!
We always love to stay in locally-owned "mom and pop" motels, and this was a nice find. Although it's a bit of a drive into Sturgeon Bay, the motel serves the purpose for which it was built- easy access to everying via Hwy 57.
I want to thank Gail, who checked us in, for her courteous, efficient help with a mix-up with our reservation!

Super cute, moderately-priced motel. Great mid-century style with exterior turquoise and white paint scheme. The rooms have been recently redone, clean and quiet. Rooms have a kitchenette with a refrigerator freezer, which is good because there’s no place nearby for breakfast. A Target is across the street for your grocery needs. All the place needs now is a vintage-style neon sign out front to attract travelers off the highway and make it a local landmark.

Loved the Retro look and feel of the Motel. Meet the owner and he was great. Plan on staying there again

Staff friendly and so helpful! Housekeeping always available and room clean. Property very low key and quiet. Great place to stay with a dog.
