Do not hesitate to come here. It’s a gorgeous property with beautiful gardens and even an outdoor pool. The room we had was wonderful. The breakfast is amazing. It’s a peaceful, tranquil place to relax in, close to Littleton and Bethlehem and of course things to enjoy in Sugar Hill. Enjoy!

Needs some TLC

The owner is very nice, the food at the restaurant here is fantastic, but the place itself is in dire need of some attention. We stayed in the garden room (cottage) and it wasn’t what we thought from looking at the pictures. Wires hanging from the tv, the blinds all broken and bent, curtains are hard to open and close without them falling off. The floors were sticky. I hate to give bad reviews, but its just way too expensive for the kind of condition it’s in.

Comfortable B&B

Comfortable place to stay & dinners were delicious with great service.
We stayed in the Nickerson Suite which was spacious & comfortable but could use some updating. Would have enjoyed an ottoman for the 2 chairs in the "living room" area.
Providing champagne for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary was a nice touch.
The one thing that marred our visit which wouldn't have been too difficult to accomodate is to have provided us with a simple box breakfast at 7:30 a.m. for our departure date as we had to leave at that time to catch our flight. Routinely breakfast is served from 8-9 a.m. & a danish & some juice wouldn't have been too should not have proved to be such an imposition. Hope management will reconsider the next time a guest needs this service.

A once exceptional place that is now sad and run down. Needs major tlc to bring it back.

The Sugar Hill Inn is NOT what is advertised. We made the mistake of not reading the latest reviews and going by its older reputation. We stayed at the dream cottage which is supposed to be the ultimate “honeymoon suite” - not so. The inn is using pictures from years ago and they haven’t kept the place up. Dirty floors, dust everywhere, no toiletries in room, nonexistent wi-fi, NO in room services or mention of any, an air conditioner promised to be installed day of arrival which sat on the porch for 4 days. Knobs missing on furniture. Linens that the price of the room should be lovely but felt cheap. Much more.
The only thing the inn has going for it now is the chef. Breakfast and dinner were lovely. However, the dining room needs an overhaul as well - ceiling peeling in several places, lights on walls broken and bulbs out.
Check in had no one at desk and check out the same, had to chase down owner both times. It is painfully clear that the place has little staff to speak of and the owner is doing what he can, which is not nearly enough. After research (which I am ashamed I did not do enough of BEFORE we went) I learned the owners wife passed soon after they bought the place and it felt like he just gave up. I also learned he bought a pizza place in town soon after - a bit over extended, perhaps?
I hope Chris reads decides to sell it to someone one who can restore it to its former glory. It’s pretty clear that inkeeping is not his forte.

It was such a great time to stay here. Delicious dinner at restaurant, nice hot tab in the room. Can’t believe this building is over 230 years old. Enjoyed quiet and relaxing time.
