My Mom and I rented one of the suites in the carriage house for Morher’s Day. It was everything we hoped it would be! The rooms were big, We each had our own bedroom and spacious bathroom. The beds were comfortable with soft bedding and a treat on the pillow. The walk-in shower was amazing! The garden had so many different varieties of plants and trees. It was fun to point and have my mom name them them! Also,amazing breakfast at your door in the morning! Fresh baked goods, fresh berries.. we felt spoiled! I will say, it gets a little eerie at night. But I highly recommend! I want to take more people!

We found bugs in both the beds in the 2 bedroom suite on the 2nd floor of the carriage house. We left for a different hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Harwelden in the Sycamore Suite. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable, even leaving a special gift for our daughter in the room. The grounds are beautiful and the house is immaculately restored. There are many common areas of the house open to all guests, from a cozy listening room downstairs to a game room on the third floor perfect for kids.
I also sincerely appreciate that the hotel does not charge for every little thing, which is far too often what higher-end hotels do. Instead, everything is included, from parking to breakfast to anything stocked in the mini fridge in the room or even the wet bar on the second floor.
Overall, it is a wonderful property, perfect for a special occasion.
