Great location to visit museums, capital and memorials.

Great location! 850 feet to the L’enfant Plaza Metro, ten minutes on foot to the National Mall, 15 minutes on foot to the Wharf. We ventured out to restaurants to save time with uber/lyft and the fares were under $12. Room is tiny but we are not spending much time here. No laundry. Free filtered water. Everything is high tech. Took us old folk two days to figure out the lights!
We have been lucky, weather is mild for the season, about 80 degrees, but I brought a sweater along everyday because the museums are air conditioned. Two hours in the capitol and I was freezing the first day.

Hostel experience or a cruise ship on land?

This place is an embarrassment to hotel stays. The rooms aren’t small, they are ridiculously tiny. The bed literally touches both walls. You have to climb over the person sleeping to get into the other side.
The bathroom sink is, well, not in the bathroom. It’s in the room itself.
Toilet and shower give you that romantic RV feel where you can put your feet in the shower while going to the bathroom.
Shower is abysmal. Temp is good but water pressure sucks and shower wand is useless. Soap smells good though.
Lighting control are via a pad that goes to sleep, so when you just want to turn on the bathroom light, you have to fumble with the pad controller until it’s done “getting things ready for you”
Nothing like getting up at 3am to pee and inadvertently turning on on every blazing light in the room.
Just put the bathroom lights on a simple switch.
Look, I get it, for $200 in DC, what can you expect. But do yourself a favor, spend the extra and go to a real hotel.

The room at the Citizenm was small, but it was awesome. The bed was awesome. The sheets(weighted sheet)are awesome. The shower was wonderful. Really enjoyed my stay,small room, but it worked perfectly for what I needed. It was close to the metro and close. You could walk to just about anything downtown. Highly recommended

Stayed here for a concert at the Anthem… was very impressed by the decor and overall ambience. The room was clean and efficient with everything being controlled by an iPad! The staff was friendly and we got a tasty breakfast in the morning from the on-site restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!

I love the hotel . It's very simple, clean and stylish . The staff are very kind and helpful . I was treated kindly and respectfully. The only complaint I have is the parking situation . You either find a place in the street which is very limited or you pay for a parking garage. You're lucky if you find a cheaper garage that's not full other than the one closet to the hotel.
