Good but deserve a refreshment

the pluses: pleasant staff, a hotel well placed in relation to the city center, a varied breakfast (including from one morning to the next), an appreciable garden and roof top.
the least: an aging hotel that needs renovation: falling ceiling mouldings, hot water that cannot arrive in all rooms at the same time if too many people shower at the same time.
Please note: some rooms are not accessible for people with reduced mobility (staircase and no elevator) > specify it if necessary.

Mice problem

Recently stayed and had a horrible experience - my room was mouse ridden. I had to throw away my tooth brush as there was mouse poo all over the bathroom sink.
I barely slept a wink. Even had a mouse run across my bed.
The shower was barely functioning and couldn’t get a good temp.
This place needs a good clean up and some money spent on it.

Quaint little hotel that does the job if you just need a place to sleep in. It's cute and clean, but also pretty old, with super creaky floors, door handles that don't really close, etc.

Bare bones hotel in a terrific location

We opted for a top floor room with a terrace. The room itself was very bare bones. If you want a hair dryer or remote control for the television, you need to borrow it from the front desk. The shower hot water would cut off periodically, you just need to be able to move quick and wait for it to come back again after a few seconds.
The location cannot be beat. Overlooking a quaint square with plenty of tapas restaurants, musicians and acrobats. We enjoyed our terrace every night. I would stay again despite the fairly spartan accomodations. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very welcoming, rooms with character

This is a gem. A small scale hotel with very friendly staff and owner. The rooms are very nice and feel like your own bedroom. Lovely garden and a good breakfast buffet. When in Paysandu, do not hesitate to stay here.
