Khiva, what a jewel!

Huge rooms, like suites with attached sitting area. Clean and friendly staff. Near the old town, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sufficient breakfast but nothing special. Typical good Uzbek cuisine, especially hot soup with beef, carrots, potatoes and dill.

Excellent Hotel just outside the citadel

Great hotel, clean and very comfortable. It is located 15/20 minutes q walk from the visits to be made, but easily accessible by tuk-tuks. At peak times (in the evening) the water for showering has little pressure, but showering is feasible.

Unsatisfactory hotel

I would not recommend this melancholy hotel for its spartan and essential decor and for breakfast “in economy” (little choice, poor Service).
The scenic entrance is very impressive, but behind it there is not much substance.

Quiet oasis

Nice clean hotel in a new pedestrian area, very central, walking distance to the old town.
The rooms are good average, mostly facing the quiet courtyard. Especially positive was the nice, clean pool in the courtyard.
No restaurant. Breakfast as always good and rich.

Good structure

I stayed at this hotel one night on a group tour, it is a property not far from the walls of Khiva (a quarter of an hour walk) in oriental style and set within beautiful gardens.
There are, swimming pool, fitness center, bar and restaurant. My room was quite large and comfortable. Included everything you can expect (courtesy kit, slippers, bathrobe, hairdryer, flat screen TV, refrigerator and kettle, air conditioning and wi fi fully functional). The breakfast buffet is satisfying with a discreet presence of sweet and savoury.
