Quiet place

Shodlik Palace Hotel is located in the center. Booked in advance, for two nights 8,033 rubles, plus a service fee of 102,000 soums at the hotel. Breakfast is a good buffet. The single room is standard, tired. There is no kettle, safe, wall clock, or refrigerator in the room. One socket in the room, an ancient TV. Everything you need is in your soul. The hotel is not budget, for the money you can find better. But the location and breakfast are captivating. I liked it more than at the Uzbekistan Hotel.

you could finf better

One night in thisI spent one night in this hotel, and for the price I think you can find better in Tashkent. For the same price I could have booked a room at the Uzbekistan Hotel, which seems to be in much better condition. The room was basic and could do with a refresh. The reception was a bit scary, empty and dark. The breakfast wasn't very appealing either (but I don't have much experience in this area). There was space in the room with a small balcony (but not a very interesting view), hot water, air conditioning, and a good internet connection. hotel

Expectation and reality did not coincide

We were in February. The hotel is awful, it's just awfully cold! That's the biggest downside. After excursions to Tashkent and Samarkand, I really wanted to go back to the hotel and warm up, but alas! Not only that, but the shower water also pours hot and cold, and the trend continued in different rooms. All the furniture and furnishings are tired. I don't know who tasted good at the fancy breakfast. We struggled to find anything to take. It's a good coffee machine on the plus side, but the message all day about the need to clean confused me. By the way, the dining room is also awful cold, I wanted to wear a winter jacket. Plus the hotel is well located relative to the metro (5 minutes on foot) and the City.

A decent hotel

The hotel is quite centrally located, my room was quite large and quite neat and clean. The beds are hard, but that is the case in almost all hotels in Uzbekistan.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Amir Timur Square, and the sights of Chorsu Bazaar and Hasrati Imam Complex with several madrasas are a good 3km walk away.

A badly rundown, the worst among the worst hotels that I ever stepped into & full of negative vibes.

Everything about this hotel is horrible. I booked a single standard room based on the beautiful photos on the website but it was a disaster. The front desk people seem to be in a permanent state of depression & you feel unwanted in this hotel. The bed was stretcher size (even for a person of a thin build) & if you turn around, you will fall off the bed, which led me to put a chair next to the bed to prevent me from falling down. The shower place is for kids & no way a normal person of average build can take a shower. Again here it was s stretcher size, where it is impossible to turn around in the shower. When I did bring this to the notice of the front desk, a person called Aziz gave me a lip service that as they were full currently (a lie it is assume as I barely saw any guests) that they will change me to a better room but this never happened at all. Also the space between the TV table at the bathroom exit is very narrow and hardly any place for you to walk out and in the dark you can get hurt very easily, totally unsafe. The TV in the room was a big box of the 1960 era & had only one blurred local channel on it. Also the WIFI signals are pathetic.
Further I had asked for a airport pickup & this was done promptly but was asked to pay directly to the driver (USD 20), which later I found out that I was ripped off. Also it turned out that the driver also moonlight's as a taxi driver & at the same time an employee of the hotel in the front desk.
With decades of my travel experience to various countries, this can be classified as the worst possible hotel that I ever stayed in. It is a totally rundown place, avoid it for your safety and well being
