Good people as hosts. Unforgettable experience.

My daughter and I stayed two nights in this treehouse and had breakfast and dinner both days. The treehouse itself is breathtaking to look at from the ground, and was very tidy, clean and comfortable with a great view. Good mozzie nets over all beds (we heard only one mozzie while there). Sleeping near a rumbling volcano is an unforgettable experience.
The home cooked dinners were delicious and filling (thank you Susan!). The included breakfasts are simple but ample to get you going (the bread is fresh and excellent). The immediate garden surrounds are pretty, well kept and interesting.
The treehouse is easy walk to the volcano entrance and as we went for sunset viewing we paid for the transfer up to the top (small price considering the large entrance fee). We went two nights and got a great showing on the second night, the first was still a frightening and jaw dropping experience of the power of the planet.
The host, Philip, was very helpful in explaining the various tour options available and the associated costs. Be sure to confirm the details with him so there aren’t any miscommunications (another party had this problem but we found Philip concise in his estimates). He will help with drivers if needed. Thank you Philip for organising the last minute, before flight blue cave trip for my daughter.
Whilst we loved our stay and highly recommend this accommodation, visitors should be aware this is basic accommodation. The stairs up to the treehouse are not for the frail or faint of heart - please take your time on these stairs, especially after rain or carrying bags. The toilets and shower are expected to be upgraded. At the time of visit, you get a bucket flush modern seated toilet and a small and simple shower head with attached pump that goes in another bucket of cold water.
We have read some reviews concerned about transfer costs. Tanna is a remote island - vehicle and fuel costs are high. We were very happy with the costs of the accommodation, food and transfers to be able to experience Mount Yasur and the local attractions.

Your very own little tree house in the sky. Magic !

A wonderful tree house, high up in the sky, totally private with your own little balcony. You are the only guests. It is very simple (bucket shower and no flush toilets) but is is so very clean. Philip and Suzane, the owners are delightful and really look after their guests. They keep the gardens, the tree house and the wash rooms in excellent conditions. Very, very good value for the price. Great location close Volcano.

Authentic island experience

This place is AMAZING! Hosts Philip and Susan and their family made us feel very welcome and looked after us like kings. The treehouse has been built by hand using local materials, right down to the woven floor mats and thatched roof. Room rate also included home cooked meals in a custom built dining area. Glowing Mountain offers a truly authentic experience of Tanna Island life as Ni-Vans live. We arrived as strangers but left as friends.

Glowing Mountain view tree house is the perfect location for your holidays and is situated on the right spot near all the attractions you wanted to visit in tanna Island. The property itself is unique, and the service here will make you feel at home. In this location, you can actually see lavas coming up when the volcano erupted at night time . Don't miss your chance booking in advance to secure your reservation here cause you will not regret your holidays here in this tree house. You'll get the chance to live like a bird sleeping high, viewing birds' view from above, and feeling the breeze is extremely free. Here, you can get to see the hot springs, waterfalls, custom dances, cannibal tours, blue cave, and the most active volcano in the world is just a 25-minute walk from the tree house to the top of the volcano. I highly recommend this property for you to pick because they'll organise everything for you
