I stayed for 4 days and both the hotel and everything I visited were worth it. Some barbara landscapes and tranquility
The paddle club project that they are building inside the hotel looks fantastic. It's going to be quite a treat, playing paddle tennis in the middle of nature.

Average hotel
The swimming pool water was horribly dirty and murky and the pool also needs renovating, it's very old and needs a new paint job also. I have some photos attached
On a positive note the rooms are very large and clean
Overall I wouldn't stay here if you want to enjoy the facilities . I think they should update there website

Good basis to explore Merida and the Andes
The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet area, off the centre of Merida but well connected by so called busetas, a sort of mini bus.
Next to the hotel is a large pond surrounded by a walking track, we ued it, it is a nice early morning or evening exercise.
The hotel must have kown better days but it is a good hotel.
Rooms, at least our so called executive suite, are large with two good lsrge size beds. The rooms are sufficiently furnished though some items were a bit old but sufficient. A positive point was the compatibiity of electric plugs with european standards. The bathroom was clean, well equipped, cold and warm water, flushed well, which is not always the case in Venezuela. The air conditioning was of the window type, very noisy, but we did not use it as it is more pleasnt to have the windows open.
Breakfast was typical venezuelan, arepas, cachapas, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, fruit, juices. We tried the restaurant and the pizzeria, nothing special. There is a swimming pool but the water did not look inviting.
There was wifi but only in the lobby and nearby rooms. Staff was helpful and competent.
We missed information on Merida and the Andes, including local information, e.g. Local transportation, etc
Points for potential improvement, the swimming pool and the provision of information, specially to non venezuelan customers

El Sr. Hotel de Mérida
Servicio excelente y como no tenerlos si la Gerente Liliana, es tan detallista y anda caminando a diario por los pasillos y su personal súper atento.
Dentro del hotel está un Bistro que lo recomiendo 100% La Fabrica.
De verdad volvería a este hotel. Gracias a todos por sus atenciones.
